The characters were great in the beginning but lost a bit of their adult-ness. The main female character was unstable in her personality and the main male character was too soft, caring, and rational. It felt like reading a self help guide to relationships rather then a hot steamy MC romance.
I also felt like this book was twice as long as the plot dictated. There was so much narration of repeated thoughts that it made to story longer then it needed to be. This was a mis for me, but the author has me hooked on the Lords of Carnage MC series, so I will stick to those. Overall it is not a bad story, it just needs a bit of re-working.
Some of the other critical reviews do have merit. However, I can overlook some of the discrepancies when an author can present an almost flawless read. It is rare these days for someone to sit down, start reading and get so pulled into the story they gobble it up in one sitting. I fully agree, greater research and more attention to details is always a plus but I do not feel Ms. Loveling fell too short of her mark.
MY copy included the first three chapters of her next in this series, which emphasizes what impressed me more. The ability to see and feel what the character does. Many writers tell us a story, others share the ride.
This was an ARC review.
This book left me questions and it had the potential of becoming a series.
My view for this book is mixed. on one hand, I did finish the book. But, there are so many things I don't like. The whole book was all inner thoughts and self-dialogs. there were not many interactions and conversations between the H/h. Then, the H - the president of MC - pushed his love away to protect her, and even for 6-months without any interactions. what kind of alpha MC members, more importantly, the president of biker clubs, does that? Hello, you're a MC guy, you keep your old lady, the one you love, no matter what. This president of the MC had not even taken his love to his place at any given chance. Oh right, he's so gentleman. urg.... Then there was the h. the H was right. she was no old lady material. one more thing I was confused was the suspicion about their rivals. none was answered. Perhaps it was not something the author focused on in this book.

Life went downhill quickly for Seton after that, her mother had never really been the mothering type and without her father things just weren't the same.
Lawless had been a member of the Stone Kings MC and so Seton can't believe it when she discovers her younger brother Cal is prospecting for them.
Cal prospecting is one thing but Seton meets another member Grey and the attraction is instant. Grey is also attracted to Seton but as soon as he hears her name he knows exactly who she is and realises then there's no future for them.
While on paper they shouldn't work attraction like theirs is hard to fight and they find themselves drawn together.
The MC has lost a member and things are volatile at the moment and Grey knows it's no life for someone like Seton.
This is a nice little MC read, it's sweet and definitely on the softer side of this genre and while I enjoyed it I don't think here was enough her to make me want to continue on.
This MC story centres on Grey and Seton's story but you meet the rest of the Club's men during the book. It is very well written, it takes you through many emotions, including some very steamy scenes. I enjoyed this book immensely and have already bought the next one, Crash! Excited to begin the next chapter.
Somone tell me and I think we get attached to people when we meet them frequently but love I don't think it's possible.
I liked Can later wish I had a brother like him.
I really like Grey and Seton they had some great sparks.
All up a really great beginning to the series and I look forward to more.
