Product Description

The RWS Model 34 rifle will keep you shooting accurately and powerfully. While it doesn't have some of the fancy features that more expensive guns have, it is the most popular RWS rifle. The well-balanced Monte Carlo stock is made of hardwood which makes it easy to hold and shoot while the ambidextrous cheek piece provides extra comfort as you zero in on your target. Made by German craftsmen, the Model 34 has a two-stage adjustable trigger, an adjustable rear sight and a rifled barrel. At just 33 pounds, there is no need to worry about cocking difficulty. Both the .177 and .22 calibers are ideal for plinking, paper and spinning air gun targets. If you like to hunt the .22 cal is a good choice for small game and pests. If you expect value and quality in one airgun, the RWS 34 is for you!

I received this for Christmas 2011 and found the craftsmanship of the rifle and scope to be top notch. I put everything together mounted the scope and went outside to see if I could sight it in. It was dead-on right out of the box. I can "stack" pellets with this thing it's so accurate.
I took it hunting yesterday and it had no problem with grey squirrels. Bench rested , I made several 1" groups at 60 yards. The scope has a graduated yardage indicator that accounts for bullet drop at a given yardage and it actually works flawlessly. This rifle has exceeded all of my high expectations .

Read the other review. Mine is the same. Yes, it can stack pellets. Scope was right on. The second pellet I shot out of the gun went through the same hole as the first.

Very nice rifle, solid construction - fine german product.
Beautiful wooden stock - love the looks and feel.
Love the open sights too - was a little skeptical on the fiber optic sights - they light up just right, and are not bright nor flashy.
Shoulders great - feels solid - definitely not for kids.
Of course the T06 trigger is light, and breaks crisply.

Cocking was a bit tight for first 100 shots, got much better after couple hundred shots and light lubing (either I got used to it or it smoothed out - either way).

Good reviews on youtube and maintenance videos too.
Cleaned out the barrel like my regular rifles, and there is lead fouling - I'll be cleaning the barrel every 200-300 shots rather than 1000 like RWS says.
Make sure to use RWS chamber lube for air chamber - most important part of rifle to keep the O-rings in proper order, to rest of lubing I just use gun oil.

A little hard to cock at first but deiniftely a tack driver! A must have for airgunners. I went with the RWS 34 because of the open sights. .5" groups at 40 yards with open sights? No complaints here.

Excellent. Sights are dead on out of package. I have only used a rifle before this one for about 20 shots, so i am definitely a beginner. I got the vortek upgrade kit and my local gunsmith installed it for me (i recommend end this, reduces vibration and increases fps) . I was shooting today using rws (umarex) ultra feild points. At about 70 feet i could hit a 2 inch by 2 inch bell about half the time (often several times in a row). I fired about a hundred shots, this was my first time ever using iron sights. It seems like the gun is very accurate. When i was aiming correctly and knew i would hit it, i would hit it. If i missed its because i am a beginner. I totally fell in love with this rifle today. I don't n know much about guns but this is a real live, tight .22, and its built to last.

Its quiet, its comfortable to hold, and steady to aim. I would buy an rws again. As far as pellets, Dont bother with ruger superpoint pellets, theyve got bits of lead all over. Rws superpoints i mentioned are similar price but higher quality, no flaking lead bits, and they fly straight in this gun and i mean straight!

I read a lot of reviews and settled on this gun. I feel great about the purchase and a childhood dream of mine is fulfilled now, if you can understand that. Although, This is not a toy.

I would buy a breakbarrel again. I like that i can hug the gun and grab the barrel with both hands if i want. The breech felt safe for fingers, once you cock the gun, the barrel wont flip back into place by accident on your finger - its dependably stationary as you load a pellet in the breech.

Youll want to have the gun cleaned before you use it the first time, it comes with extra grease on the innards since they have to store them at a warehouse.

First let me say this is not just a nice pellet gun, this is a fine rifle, period. I am an avid firearms enthusiast and I own a collection of top quality rifles and shotguns. I began researching pellet guns to handle a pest problem and quickly settled on the RWS Diana 34. The german quality is evident throughout. The hardwood stock is very well finished, the fit of the butt plate is perfect, the bluing on the barrel and receiver is very well done. I bought the combo with the RWS 4 X 32 scope. The scope is decent with a fine duplex reticle AND an adjustable objective lens. The one piece scope mount is very solid. Don't be fooled by the 800 FPS muzzle velocity, this thing hits with real power and because it is below the speed of sound it is very quiet. Finally the accuracy is unbelievable and from what I read on the reviews it gets better as it breaks in. I'm getting 1/2" groups at 30 yds with a proper bench rest using RWS flat faced pellets. This is one of those purchases that completely exceeded my expectations.

The gun itself received 4 stars, very high quality. Very little to no recoil. A curate with iron sights. Lost a star due to supplied scope, couldn't sight scope indie to cross hairs would not adjust. But not aproblem, will buy an after market scope down the road.
Again gun is very nice, easy to pump and easy to shoot. Trigger is awesome.

Received today. Mounted the scope and went into the woods to sight the scope in. Within 6 shots I was on the bullseye! From 20-25 yards I was hitting bottle caps, quarters and then nickels! Great gun, high quality and very accurate! Can't wait to shoot some bushy tails.
