The Rabbit Air BioGS removes a wide variety of allergens and contaminants from the air, including dust, pollens, dander, odors, mold, and chemical vapors. Its HEPA filter traps and destroys a host of common allergens, such as pet dander, dust mites, and pollen. Each filter can last up to three years, based on 12 hours of daily operation, and won't create secondary pollution like conventional HEPA air cleaners. Our Signature HEPA filter traps airborne allergens and contaminants down to 0.3 microns in size 99.97 percent of the time and also includes a medium filter to boost efficiency and increase HEPA filter lifespan. The BioGS features a permanent pre-filter to help eliminate large airborne particles as well as a washable Charcoal Based Activated Carbon Filter for odor and chemical absorption. With its energy efficient design, the BioGS is safe and inexpensive to operate, emitting no ozone and only consuming 33 watts at turbo speed and seven watts at silent speed. The BioGS also features an inverter control and auto air quality monitoring, which means the unit can operate at five different speeds and it won't run at a higher speed than necessary. Ideal for home or small office use, this air purifier covers up to 600 square feet, based on two air changes per hour. It's also completely silent at low speed, and creates a minimum amount of distracting noises.

1.The multi-stage filter system is logical and based on proven science. The first layer of filtration is a washable coarse screen. This catches the largest dust particles. It is the protector of the replaceable paper filter behind it. The next layer is a paper filter covered with a spun synthetic fabric. This filter is non-washable. The spun layer captures the larger dust, allowing finer particles to pass through and be captured by the paper layer. You can gently vacuum the spun material if it gets dusty. The final stage is the activated carbon filter. This filter captures chemicals and odors that are in the air.
2. The ionization unit works by sending out charged particles into the air. The charges attract dust and cause them to settle. In theory they get sucked into the filter and removed from the air.
3. The filter uses are particle sensor to monitor the dust level in the air. The fan in the filter pulls air into the sensor for analysis. If dust is detected the sensor turns the filter on high(er) until the dust level drops.
4. The "odor" sensor detects odors in the air. Honestly, it will detect bad breath and a fart. I am 100% serious and have tested it. When an odor is sensed, the fan ramps up until the odor level drops. The activated carbon filter is responsible for odor removal.
5. When the paper filter gets clogged, the air flow rate slows down. The unit detects this and send a visual warning to change the filter. You can vacuum the paper filter and get up to a year out of it if you like. I replace mine once every 15 months.
The unit is quiet and needs very little hand-holding. Just set the device to the level of filter activity you want and walk away. It is really very simple. Read the brief instructions and you will easily grasp what to do. This filter is the best I have ever used. I am completely satisfied.
That's all gone, thanks to Rabbit Air. I actually initially bought this, the BioGS. I didn't really see a reason to go for the MinusA2, except it looks nicer and has an extra customized filter and some other things. Oh, and everything you have ever read about Rabbit Air's awesome customer service is 100% true. They treat their customers like royalty and they honor their warranties and will go above and beyond to help you.
Well, sadly (sort of), my BioGS was defective. The auto mode stopped working completely. I called Rabbit Air and they were so apologetic that they sent replaced this with the Rabbit Air MinusA2 (model SPA-700A covers 700 sq. ft.) Ultra-Quiet Air Purifier - Stylish, Efficient and Energy Star® Certified, Wall-Mountable!, White, Germ Defense free of charge because of the hassle I went through. I was so impressed with how professional and helpful they were!
I loved the BioGS, during the couple days that it worked. When it was working, it was extremely sensitive to pollutants and I stopped sneezing within a day. I went without sneezing until it left me. The four days that I waited for the MinusA2 to come in? All of my allergies came back. I was sneezing non-stop and having asthma attacks all of the time. I set up the MinusA2, and within 24 hours I was feeling great again.
These purifiers are SO sensitive to odors and pollutants. You can literally have bad breath or open the door or walk by it smelling oddly (self-tanner!) and it picks it up.
I am a person that sometimes suffers from buyer's remorse, and I have NONE for this. This has absolutely changed my home life. I can now feel like a normal healthy person at home! Now, since I did have the BioGS and MinusA2 in my possession, you may want to know....
SHOULD I GET THE BIOGS OR THE MINUSA2??
If you aren't really on a budget, by all means go for the MinusA2. You get the customized filter, it's quieter on all levels, you can mount it on the wall, and it covers more square footage. I also feel like it is more sensitive than the BioGS. But I'm not sure that my BioGS was ever quite working correctly, so I can't be 100% sure on that one. But the BioGS never started going on high when the furnace came on like the MinusA2 does. In my opinion, the MinusA2 also looks nicer. They are both sleek and elegant and in my opinion the best looking air purifiers on the market, but the BioGS is a little too futuristic looking for me or something. I definitely prefer how the MinusA2 looks.
If you're on a budget, don't feel bad getting the BioGS at all. That's what I initially did, and I loved it before it broke. It still cured my allergies and I was in love with it! There is nothing wrong with either....they are both superb products with excellent customer service. Seriously. Customer service is really important when it comes to something like this. You don't want to pay $300-$600 on a product and then have the representatives treat you like garbage. Rabbit Air has the best customer service I have EVER dealt with in my life. You'll know what I mean when you buy one from them.
With the combination of my Rabbit Air and the nifty Crane 2.3 Gallon COOL Mist humidifier, White and Blue, I feel healthier, happier, and more at ease at home and have a much higher quality of life.
Thank you, Rabbit Air!
