"A really wonderful children's series that I wish I could have read myself when I was younger." --Only The Books For Me
From the Inside Flap
"You can't bring a rabbit camping," Nana says. "There are dogs and bears and eagles ..."
"He could get hurt!" Papa says.
"He could get lost!" Nana adds.
"And where are we going to keep him?" Papa finishes.
"Oh, Libby." Nana shakes her head.
"But Tiny will be lonely and scared all by himself at home!" Libby protests.
"He's a rabbit!" Papa exclaims.
"But what if something bad happens? No one will be there to help him." Tears start running down Libby's cheeks.
"Oh, Libby," Nana says again, rummaging in her pocket for a Kleenex. "What are we going to do with you?"
Papa checks his watch. "Do either of you have a house key?"
"Um, at home," I say. "I forgot it."
Libby just shakes her head no and blows her nose.
"Do we even have time to take him home, Wayne?" Nana says.
Papa frowns. "Not if we want to check in any time close to three."
"So we're not taking him home?" I say, not sure if I'm feeling relieved or annoyed. I mean, I'm kind of excited to bring Tiny with us. Camping will definitely be less boring now. But I'm kind of annoyed Libby is getting her way. Again.
Papa sighs. "No. The rabbit is coming with us."
Libby lets out a cheer so loud it makes Tiny thump.
