I love learning from Jim Arnosky about animals in general and this one on rabbits is no exception, his lovely, refreshingly true-to-life paintings give the reader an impression of his love of the animals that he so carefully portrays. Great for K-3 but readers of all readers will enjoy the story and illustrations. Sybil Blazej, Librarian, artist, children's book author and a dog walker

Like all of Jim Arnosky's book, this has absolutely gorgeous, and realistic, watercolor illustrations. The pages are completely filled with the illustrations, with each 2-page spread having a single sentence overlaying the text. The storyline is very simple about a mother bunny and her babies hopping around until it becomes rainy, and they hide before coming back out again. The age range of 4 to 8 is a bit off. This is going to be much too simple for most 8-year-olds, but younger children can enjoy the very simple story and beautiful pictures. My 8-year-old wouldn't come near this book, but my 6-year-old (who loves pretty pictures) does, as do my 4-year-old and 2-year-old. I'd put the age range at something like 2 to 6.

Oh, those little bunny bodies.

The illustrations in this book are adorable. Jim Arnosky has a magical feel for the natural world. My sons go crazy for those sweet little furry bunny bodies inthe pictures. Even thought they are "too big" for story books, this one never fails to please. It's like a guilty pleasure for them.

Lovely illustrations include many other creatures, and the natural settings are beautifully depicted.

We love this book.

Jim Arnosky's Rabbits and Raindrops brings to mind many classic picture books. It has a charming story coupled with pictures that betray the artist as a true lover of authentic naturalism. My children love this tale and it is one of my favorites as well.
