How are ratings calculated?
To calculate the overall star rating and percentage breakdown by star, we don’t use a simple average. Instead, our system considers things like how recent a review is and if the reviewer bought the item on Amazon. It also analyzes reviews to verify trustworthiness.

Had to buy this book for a poli sci course. I still aced the course but I honestly could’ve put in half the effort and just simply regurgitated this book’s non-objective non-empirical anti-Western neo-Marxist narrative and would’ve received the same grade.

i used this book for my sociology class and I have been scared to even touch it. It is completely falling apart. This book should not be rented out since I had to put the pages together because they were all out of order due to the terrible binding. The binding of the book is falling apart, so by even turning the pages in the book causes more pages to fall out.

There was some good information in this text book and I really learned a lot; however, it was so biased, liberal, and unbalanced that is was hard to get past it. Someone without any critical thinking skills would totally buy in to everything this book says. Again, could be a good text book, but very biased and unbalanced almost to the point of being dishonest in some topics.

Received a book that fell apart (even sitting on the desk cause I never took it to class) and Amazon charged me for the price of the book. I have never had an issue like this because I take very good care of my books (I don't even highlight or write in pencil in them). The pages of the books of my classmates also fell apart on them.

This book is trashed! 22 pages are falling out! I am so disappointed in this product! There is writing and markings all throughout the book, pages are falling out, the cover is ripped. Just terrible.

When I received the book, it had no cover, the pages looked as if they were run over by a forklift in a warehouse. I cleaned it up, put a copy of a cover on the front, straightened out the wrinkled, bent pages, and cleaned the dirt from the remaining pages, and am now using it. Not so cool, but I made do.

This book's binding is awful. Ever time you open it up you risk it falling apart. I'm hoping not to get charged because the binding is so bad.

Absolutely horrible. The binding is coming apart with the cover barely holding on. The pages are crinkled and curled. I better not be charged for this. This is how it arrived and I’m super disappointed.
