This book helped me to understand BLM, 1619, and the PRM much more fully. I appreciated the rational analysis of each and left the reading with more hope than I have had that we can continue to make progress on civil rights for all in our country as we have promised. We are a young nation with the most diverse population of all nations trying to do something that has never been done in this history of the world. Pulling together as one people rather than promoting ideologies that tear us apart is the only way we will reach our goals.

Knowledge is power, which this book amply provides. The Left is poisoning all of our children, pre-school - graduate school, whatever their race, nationality or creed, with mendacious twisting of history (1619, CRT, etc). This book exposes the roots of the destructive racism perpetrated by the Left. Thankfully, the vast majority of Americans does not believe these lies, instead following Rev Dr Martin Luther King, by judging all races, by the content of their character rather than the color of their skin.

We’re progressing backwards because of this progressive racism movement. Charles Love has done a perfect job in analyzing that this is, in fact, happening because society has become Race Crazy!!

Important Read, Regardless of Political Persuasion

Charles does a fantastic job of breaking down some major issues in our current cultural moment. His target audience is specifically those on the center-left, though the book would be a profitable read for anyone on the right or left. You may not come away having changed your mind, but you will absolutely have more information than you had before reading the book…which is never a bad thing! I can’t recommend this book highly enough.

A Tour de Force!!!!!

Race Crazy is a profoundly important book. It is not a Left/Right, Democrat/Republican, Bernie Bro/MAGA project. Instead, it is a meditation on how race has been used to champion illiberalism in our public discourse and the dire consequences it will have for the American Experiment if it persists. Love is an important public intellectual who needs a louder megaphone . . . this book should elevate him!!!! Beautifully written and impeccably researched.

A Love Letter To Fascists

I did not realize this was a conservative book when I bought it. I read the Introduction and was horrified. Charles Love seems to believe that police should be allowed to shoot people (especially Black Men) because “at best they made a bad decision, at worst they are violent criminals.”

Never mind that this is anathema to the Constitutional Right of due process in this country. Charles Love tells us that movements that oppose police brutality are Un American.

Charles, when the fascists and white supremacists that you supported, and helped bring to power, come for you (a Black man) I will stand up for you. I will use my White Privilege to shield you from their long knives (please read the Nazi History of “The Night of Long Knives” when the Nazis killed the supporters they no longer needed). I fear it will not be enough. I only have one life to give.

Please stop spreading this hate. Please stop reading this hate. Please stop believing this hate.

Cuts through the cant

Charles Love cuts through the cant of BLM and The 1619 Project with an Exacto Knife of logic. I especially recommend it for Gen Z and millennials. Teachers should use it during "Teach Black Lives Matter" week. Activists should use it to expose the hate of The 1619 Project.
