To go from mail order bride,to governess to clerk in a store and finally to being a bride.
Had they spoken frankly yet kindly these could have been avoided. Oh I know but that made the story! True, however I was emotionally on a roller coaster through this story.
I was so angry with both of them. Why? Because I had nearly the same things happen and realized too late if I'd been open with what happened eight years wouldn't have gone by before we connected again with a love that never died.
Anyway I loved the story and was so pleased that they finally got on the same page with each other. Beautiful story, truly! I'm on to book ten now. Thanks Diane.

But Thomas employs Rachel as his daughter’s governess, until he can find a different wife. But during their time together, they realize that they have an attraction. There are many ups and downs in their working relationship as well as their possible romantic relationship.
