So overall, the content in this book was amazing. It for me thinking and made a lot of valid points.
The physical aspect of this book, though, is terrible. It is way too heavy to be in paper back. The binding case apart and it was in bad shape after I used it like any other textbook. This book should only come in hard back to prevent normal wear and tear from making it fall apart so easily.
There was also a few editorial mistakes made in the book - in one chapter there’s a paragraph repeated twice, word for word. It’s just a mistake made in print but I wanted to add that.

Compared to some of the academic writing on racism, Racial Domination, Racial Progress is more accessible and engaging for the general reader who wants to learn more about systemic racism. While the book is aging, and other books have come to prominence, I think this book remains an excellent survey of the topic for the general reader.

This book was one of the most interesting books I've read in college. The history of how modern day racism at the institutional and interpersonal level was very in-depth. There were a lot of helpful statistics that empirically shows racial disparities in today's society. I highly recommend this book, it also reminded me of another interesting book, "Lies My Teacher Told Me."

As a person who never reads textbooks, I can tell you I really enjoyed this one.
Really great connection of history to the present state of society.
Stated in terms and conceptually to be understood by common people, which is always a problem in higher ed.

This book is very blunt about racial relations in history. I find this hard to read because it doesn't sugar coat anything.
