I guess I did alright.
It works perfectly and it is much more practical than installing a screen protector. Plus you can use it to wipe the screen / keyboard when needed.
Only minor complaint: when used for cleaning the screen it is not as effective as a high quality microfiber cloth.
You can safely throw it in the washing machine.
I recently had my screen replaced because it was coming loose (unrelated reason) and the old screen had already been marked up a bit from "keyboard offset". I had no intention of letting that happen to the new screen, and this little product does the trick.
It is very hard to find this material anywhere, so I popped for the $16 or so to buy this product and am very happy with it.

I was looking to maximize the protection on my new gaming laptop. This nicely covers the keyboard and help prevent marks on the screen.Published on May 20, 2013 by J. Schimansky
Gimmick plain and simple.
Hard to use and looks rubbish. Bad gut feeling when ordering and rightly so. Read more
I have had MacBooks since the G4 12" version. With every one of them I have been worried about getting the keyboard stamped over the screen. Read morePublished on February 11, 2011 by Kindle Customer
Works very good! I love it. Close it in the laptop and you have it ready at anytime. This works as well or better than the apple microfiber, but is bigger!Published on January 11, 2011 by C. Bowman
