room you get and for the more comfortable chair that comes with it. It DOES get hot! I don't know if it actually gets to 150 degrees but it's darned close! I preheat it for at least 5 minutes before getting in. For me....because I don't sweat that easily.....I have to stay in for at least an hour to get things going. The whole second half hour is spent just sweating like crazy. The first time I used it I was shocked that the 2 towels I had with me, one to sit on and the other to wipe off with felt like I had used them both after going swimming! I keep my socks on and they were as wet as they are when you take them out of the washer after being spun out. Because I want my head and face to sweat as much as possible, I will cover my head with a towel.....just to trap in as much heat as I can. The sweat just pours out of you! So, if you are really in need of this kind of treatment and aren't sure if it will work.....this sauna is definitely worth trying. If it doesn't work then you haven't wasted a lot of money. Like I said before, it will pay for itself in about 12 to 15 uses. Another reason I like having it is that I can go directly to the shower at home.....which is definitely a necessity! Also, after using it you sometimes feel a bit woozy.....which is to be expected. The last thing I would want to do is have to drive home feeling that way! All around, I am so glad that I got this sauna and it seems to be working as described.
This is the larger version of the BSA6310, and is distributed by Blue Wave products.I checked their website and this model isn't listed which I find strange as it's much nicer than the 6310 - it's larger, there are 4 infrared panels instead of 3, and a nice 'Director's Chair' with padded armrests inside, and a negative ion generator box in the back (no mention of what the ions do apart from sanitizing the sauna). It took me all of 5 minutes to set it up and get it heating; the manual says it takes 10 minutes to reach a temperature of 150F. There are 5 temperature presets from 113F to 150F; I use the wood sauna at 140F so I started with that temp, heated it up and climbed in.
The heat is dry and comfortable, identical to the wood sauna. The first thing I noticed is that I started breaking a sweat much faster! I also sweat more with the portable sauna, I was able to break a sweat over my entire body for the first time. The heat is pretty uniform, slightly cooler in the front where there is no FIR panel, but the front of my body still completely broke out in a sweat; even the front of my lower legs so it doesn't seem to matter. There are zipped cutouts for the hands, one larger pocket on the left side and 2 smaller pockets on the right - one is taken by the sauna remote. I always drink a liter of water with electrolytes during my session and found it awkward to manage the water bottle; when it was full I kept it inside the sauna and once it was half empty it was light enough that I could insert it in the larger pocket without having the front cave in.
The seat is pretty comfortable especially the padded armrests, and it didn't interfere with the sweating process. Of course it's not the same experience as a wood sauna, you don't have that awesome relaxing wood scent and ability to lie down on the bench but for the price and the ability to do daily FIR treatments at home I couldn't be more pleased with my purchase.

Another time, I didn't go inside, measured 124F(51C) after 30 minutes. (I covered the head part/opening)
On avearge, I was able to attain 115F(46C) ..I used Acu>rite device to measure
As for EMF(Electromagnetic Field). My device is TENMARS model TM-190
They say that under 3 milligauss(mg) is safe exposure(?)
The meter was put against the panels
Right side 50 milligauss (mg)
Left side 125-130 mg
The meter measured about 7mg center(chest area)
I took measurements from seat
Right side seat 14.5 mg
Left side seat 16-17 mg
Back side seat 8.4 mg
For comparison, my microwave oven read 150mg (meter pressed against). It read about 4mg, 10 feet away
As for off gassing, there is a smell..Whether its toxic or not, I don't know....
I will still use this sauna....
Remember, remove(shower) makeup/ deodorant before using sauna
Will update in future (todays date May 29, 2017) and answer questions
Updating my previous post from May 29, 2017
Todays date is Feb 1, 2018
It does make you sweat, 100%...I've been using it..
My concerns have always been about the EMF's being too high and possible off gassing..
I will be getting rid of my sauna.

I originally purchased this item on May 19, 2017 on Amazon.ca
My first original review was done on May 29, 2017 regarding this product
So, its been about 2 years now (May 2019). However, I've decided to copy/paste my review from Amazon.ca to .com with an update(last update)
I'm very surprised how this still gets 5 stars in 2019..
As of today, there is about 79 reviews regarding this product. When I purchased my sauna, there was only 1 review, dated May 15 2017....
I will keep this simple...
The sauna's EMF's are too high and the odor of chemical(plastic smell) is not safe when heated..The gassing, you are breathing in...
As of December 2018, I've gone to my new Infared Sauna which is nearly 0 EMF and no chemicals..Also, I've gone to Red Light Therapy(LED)...These saunas are available in Canada and United States. You will pay anywhere from $2000 to $3000USD for a 1 person sauna, maybe 2 .. As for the Red Light, shop around, you can easily get ripped off and pay nearly double the price
