First of all, this "book" is only 42 pages long!! Luckily I only purchased the kindle version for $4.99 instead of the print version for a whopping $14.95 for what is really a long article.
Secondly, half of this book is quotes from other authors. At least he credits them.
Third, this book only criticizes mainstream living without giving actual solutions or strategies to live alternatively. The author does not give you strategies or solutions to solve your own problems, instead Downie tells the reader, "Treat is as a challenge, smart boy". This is totally condescending to the reader, and somewhat to women.
Please do not buy this book! I didn't expect this book to be a literary gem, but this is just complete trash.
Here is a choice piece from the closing:
"Forget the man. You're the man now, and you do with your time as you like, leveraging technology, exchange rates and global cost-of-living opportunities along with your ever increasing skillset to sidestep the miserable life of slavery the traditional (old person's) system has in store for you.
