Sure to be one of 2016's most controversial true-crime books. Best-selling Author RJ Parker delves into radicalized Islam but not for another Sunday morning political talk show debate. His focus is on the real crimes, the carnage, the casualties. Parker lays out example after example. He illustrates that Islamic terrorism attacks against Americans aren't a coincidence and scarily, they aren't going away anytime soon.
-- John Ferak, Bestselling True Crime Author and Journalist
"Parker amazes his readers with top notch writing and idealist research. The Canadian writer has a better grasp of criminology and the psyche of a serial killer's mind than most people who spend a lifetime in a professional field chasing criminals and diabolic fiends". -- John Douglas (Retired FBI Agent - Behavioral Science)
From the Inside Flap
In the past five years or so, there has been a significant increase in the terrorist activities carried out by these self-radicalized, 'lone-wolf' terrorists who are not directly a part of any terrorist organization. Looking back at the terrorist incidents from the last three to five years, one can see that the attacks launched by these self-radicalized terrorists are more than the mass murders carried out by terrorist organizations.
Self-radicalization has been closely associated with social media, with many even saying that the social networks and internet regulations are to be blamed for its rise. This is not entirely the case. While the internet and social networking have definitely made it easier, it is not the only reason why there is an increase in the self-radicalized lone-wolf terrorist. There are many factors that come into play: personal lives, mental condition, environment, government policies, and many such things that can cause a person to resort to terrorism. However, most of the time, these self-radicalized terrorists are just extremists trying to impose their ideology on others through violence. These self-radicalized individuals have actually attacked a number of places, wreaking havoc and murdering many innocent civilians in their path. In 2002, there was the Washington, D.C. Sniper attacks that killed over a dozen people, then in 2009 the Fort Hood shooting occurred, and more recently there were two shooting incidents in Canada during 2014 that killed and wounded soldiers. The most destructive of these attacks occurred in 2015 in San Bernardino, claiming the lives of fourteen people and injuring twenty two.
