"Radically Condensed Instructions can save you a lot of time and wheel-spinning! In what can sometimes seem to be a maze of nondual/spiritual literature, J Jennifer Matthews speaks from a well-read, broad-based background on the subject."
- Peter Francis Dziuban Consciousness is All: Now Life is Completely New
"This is a wonderfully clear, succinct, lucid, intelligent and wise book. Radically Condensed Instructions points to being awake now to the unbounded openness of awareness and actual present-moment experiencing. Excellent book! Very highly recommended."

I've read numerous books on being, from the so-called nondual perspective: the perspective that there is no "self-enclosed self" (to use Matthews' term) living life, having experiences, doing, thinking, feeling, but that all is Awareness (Consciousness, Presence, "the" Self, or call It what you will). Some of these books were useful, some entertaining, some both, and some, frankly, neither. But none put the matter so clearly and succinctly as Matthews' "Instructions".
Noticing that Matthews studied theology at Louvain and at the Episcopal Divinity School, I also noticed a complete absence of references to divinity. For one who has been somewhat preoccupied, for years, with God-concepts, this was at first a bit startling. Usually I find other attempts at nondual exposition which downplay divinity rather unsatisfying. Not this one. Usually assurances that there is "nothing to do, nothing to become", etc., ring rather hollow because it's simply easier to say that than to live that. Not this time. Matthews' unique way of describing the origins and perils of "selfhood" (she calls it a process of "selving"), and her particular way of expressing the fact that what we think of as "I" is really just open awareness, are so refreshing, so clear, that no abstruse theological concepts or mystical prescriptions are wanted.
All that is wanted is awareness. And we are That.
My unbound gratitude to J Jennifer Matthews, the author. I hope, many more people come to know of this little book priced so low by the author to make it affordable. Thank you for this little diamond of immense value and worth. Thank you, thank you, thank you.
I re-read the book since I downloaded it. Now I have lost self and mind too! It is amazing to lose everthing and get it all at the same time!

The fact is, we can't improve and improve, and finally get to ourselves. It won't work and it’s not necessary. We are already ourselves.
