Even Better Than I Expected!

I had an older Radio Shack multimeter of this model. The calibration of the older meter is way off. I really liked the meter and thought I would give it another try. The meter was selling for half of what I paid for the old one. When I received the newer 22-812 rev B, I ran a calibration against my relativey new Fluke 87V. Much to my surprise the readings were no more than 0.05% off from the Fluke. I also used a USB to Serial cable and got the data logging working. This will be my go to meter where I don't want to my Fluke in danger. Needless to say, I'm very happy with my purchase.

Is the unit being sold USB or RS232? The picture doesn't show

The latest version of this Multimeter has a USB interface on the top side of the product. It would help if the views of the product showed the top so that potential buyers could see this feature. Does anyone know if the unit being sold currently is the RS232 or the USB version?

Second time I bought this, first time was at a radioshack retail dep. When I tried it the multimeter didnt work. Second time, bought it on Amazon, cd came in cracked, can't find software online and I really wanted to try out the graphing/ oscill. feature, or whatever it does.

This is a wonderful product!! Not only does it have all the expected functions but it includes a capacitance meter, a frequency meter, a duty cycle meter, and a thermocouple probe. BEST of all, however, is the ability to read the data into a Windows computer using the provided USB cable and software. A tremendous and inexpensive option for ADC. Also, I have been impressed by the battery life, which is necessary to the continuous monitoring I am doing. Over a week so far on the two AA cells.

This determined by the enscription under Radio Shack on meter face. Item shown in the product picture is 2200087 (True RMS version of the meter). Item I received was 2200039 (not True RMS version) and no thermocouple which is optional on the 200039.
