Raging (The Rising Series Book 4) Kindle Edition
For two thousand years, a betrayer has occupied the throne on Olympus. Hungry for power, he has wreaked havoc among the gods, as well as the humans on earth. But a spark of hope ignites in the form of four young women—ones who are destined to free the true king and save the human world. Two have been found, and the others must be located before it's too late.
Drakōn would love nothing more than to turn his back on the whole thing. It's not that he doesn't care about humans, but he has his own world to worry about. But then, he is given an impossible task—one he finds himself unable to refuse. He is charged with protecting a woman, but not just any woman—Tana, goddess of wind and fire.
Tana is more than he bargains for. Sentenced to an eternity of imprisonment for burning hundreds to death in a fiery inferno, she has powerful enemies. Drakōn finds himself facing off with those adversaries even as he questions why he doesn't simply destroy her himself. But Tana is one of four destined to save the world. That is, if she doesn't destroy it first. And Drakōn? He may just lose his most guarded possession. His heart.

The only issues I had was author intrusion right off the bat, which threw me off and the grammatical errors. They weren't as bad compared to the other books though. I also didn't feel closure between Drakon and his daughter. In the beginning it was made out to seem he was set out to make things right with her. Then there was no mention until maybe midway through the book and there was one little scene and that was it. Also, Tana and Hades. For someone who had a lot of hatred for him I didn't see any resolve to it and he wasn't mentioned very much. The last chapter felt abrupt and rushed. With this story having a lot of action and suspense and the right amount of pace...the last chapter seemed as if to miss a proper wrap up to the series.
I give this book a rating of 4 1/2 stars.
Overall, I give the entire series 5 stars. Holly Kelly did a beautiful job with her characters in giving them life and individuality. It was an amazing story idea and kept me on the edge of my seat a few times with the battles and the villains. I recommend this to anyone that is a big fan of Greek mythology, you won't be disappointed.
The final installment of the Rising series leaves you with such a sense of wonder you find yourself going back and rereading all of the other books.
Raging starts off with a tragic tale of a daughter of Hades who can't control her magic, and ends up with such a deep hatred for her father that nothing seems to quell it. Drakon is a Dagonian warrior with a tragic past of his own, and is very very slow to trust people. Especially mermaids or other children of the Gods. But when fate throws these two together, they have no choice but to rely on one another to make it through the end of the world.
Zeus, crazed, pissed off, and desperate to stop the prophecy before it comes to pass is becoming hazardous to just the gods, but for the humans as well. Humanity begins to witness things they had only heard about through legends or read about in the bible.
Sarah and Xanath, along with their friends, family, and the women of the prophecy set out to release the true King of the Gods and restore the universe to the way it should be.
Buckle in for the wild ride of this story and wear goggles, because it's going to wet, and messy.
Wow! So many twists, and new developments that no one saw coming. Honestly, yhere is no way This could have been better.
Sara, from the beginning I've always loved her character and boy oh boy she is one amazing goddess! The author described everything so vividly I can picture all the gods, goddess, and everyone else. She wrapped this up so well.
Plus may be we will get more from here on this series!!!
I will recommend this to everyone. And I already will be re reading this series again!
I was reading this, waiting for the epicness of the first 3 book to shine through and was greatly disappointed. The book was entertaining and had all the cool aspects of the first 3 but it was lacking. I feel as though the author should have either written a longer book or added a 5th to the series. I believe it would have made a huge difference.
All my favourite characters were back and everyone was working together to save the world but it all felt so rushed. Then all of a sudden we have new relationships and new characters that play major roles and a solution to the main threat just fell so flat.
It was a good story it just felt unfinished. I didn't feel like the end of a series is supposed to feel.
Still check it out and tell me if I'm wrong. I maybe, everyone reads a different story after all.

This book, Raging, is book 4 in "The Rising" series by the ever so talented Holly Kelly. It is also the last book in this series (unless she comes up with a way to maybe write more), and the way this story was written, concludes everything. I think I saw another reviewed comment about "resolution" and that is spot on.
The book tells us the story of Tana and Drakon. But if you are like me, and you will want to see all the characters from the previous books, then you wont be disappointed. The was a lot of action... Some romance and a little violence. But just enough of everything to convey the story.
Holly is a talented author and I cannot wait to see what comes next.
