I have no complaints. This is a purchase I would happily make again.
-1 Star: I had no idea that in order to transfer my save over I would need to "Backup" my data using the ORIGINAL game and then "Restore" it on the new one. So when I first received RO ACE, I had to run out and re-purchase the first game so that I could move my cards and stuff over from the first game. I know better now, but just a heads up to anyone who played the first game.
I did my research and it seemed that this is just like an expansion, so I waited and waited even after the 2 month delay.
So it finally arrived after about 4 months of wait!
The game play is something i enjoy, although it isn't exactly an open world, I love dungeon grinding and boss hunting.
The control is a bit awkward though. I guess I'll have to get used to it, but it just feels a bit stiff, not really smooth like other games similar to this.
But for the most part, this is something you can enjoy either playing long time in one sitting or from time to time occasionally like waiting in line or sitting in a car, etc.
I would write a full review, but I haven't even finished chapter 2 yet. As for chapter 1, it might feel a bit too easy, but you'll have to get used to the controls, so it will be a tutorial rather than chapter 1.
I can say that if you are the type of a person who doesn't like reading, the conversation in the game will bore you. A LOT.
You don't really have to know them though. If you missed something, you can just talk to them again and they will tell you the key points anyways.
As for me though, I love reading these kind of things, whether they are important or not. Sometimes they have humor, sometimes they give you quite useful info as well.
one thing I really like about this game is that there are 4 different control set-ups, so you can change it to which ever makes you feel comfortable. the thing is, it's not customize-able like most games... I kinda don't like the aiming keys.
i really like toukiden as of late, and welcomed this game when i saw the announcement. i've played some ragnarok mmo, but never got into the handheld.
it's a solid boss hunter type game, and seems to have a large amount of content.
if you get bored watching 20 minutes of video this game probably isn't for you.
the real advantage imho is that i can play on my ps3 them hop on the vita.
or i can bring my vita to a friends house who has this, and play in person online.
also just being able to play a solid boss hunting game on a big screen is really nice.
the game has it's slowdown and isn't perfect. but it's minor gripes at the end of the day.
feels like it's what it set out to be.
