NOT 1/4" TUBING

This tubing isn't 1/4" diameter either inside or outside. This is deceptive on their part if you are hoping to combine their system with Rain Drip or Lasco. I ended up using it, but I have to use very hot water to soften the end up in order to get the sprinkler or connectors into it. It wasn't worth returning. It is also a thinner product than Lasco or Rain drip 1/4" tubing also. I would recommend not buying it unless you are 100% using their system. I have been able to use Lasco and Rain drip together. It was my fault for not catching that it was Rain Bird not Rain Drip.

I liked the old form better

I have been switching to drip systems on all my plants due to the drought here in Ca. I have gone through tons of 1/4" tubing, in this order, the tubing has been changed, where before it was a smooth, soft, and playable tube; it is now a textured tubing that is not playable at all, making it very difficult to lay between and around plants. It wont curve and I now need to use a lot more of the landscaping spikes. I have even gone to Home Depot and a local landscaping store and the 1/4" tubing is the same there. Rainbird please go back to the former tubing please?

Awful new 1/4" tubing

I have used 1/4" tubing from the same manufacturer (that worked very well). It was a pliable 1/4" rubber tubing that slips on drip irrigation devices easily and stays on them well. I recently ordered the same thing (Rainbird T22-100) and it is so stiff that it is nearly impossible to put on drip irrigation devices. I did manage to put this new stiffer tubing on one emitter and a Rainbird a 1/4" barbed coupling (Rainbird BC25/30K) and it was almost impossible to slip them on. I even used soapy water as a lubricant and help the tubing with a pair of pliers and had a very difficult time while sitting in a chair in the house. I am sure I would not want to use this tubing while working in my garden. Just horrible to work with,

This stuff is VERY stiff and difficult to work with. I suppose that makes it sturdy and long lasting but I found it very unpleasant. I had to really heat it up quite a bit and grease the fittings to get them inserted so I was more time consuming using it. It did do the job and if I wanted a long stretch of hose that went straight from one place to another it might work better for me.

1/4" OD tubing, not ID. Worthless to me. It was advertised that it would work with "most brands of 1/4" barbed fittings" which is entirely false. A 1/4" barbed fitting is measured for the ID. A 1/8" barbed fitting would be needed for this.

Unbelievably rigid. My 1/2"ID Polyethylene tube has more play and memory than this. It will never leave its original shape of a 9" coil.

+1 star for at least being cheap enough that I don't care I made this mistake.

A Bit Stiff, But Solid Line

Pretty stiff but it definitely stands up to some abuse. I wouldn't try to turn it in a radius of less than about 4-5". Not because it would kink, but because it won't hold that tight of a curve. I am using it for constant drip hydro strawberries and I was planning on using the 360 drippers with it but like happens so often, my set-up plans changed. I have it as capillary off of the 1/2" Trunk line (Rain Bird T-63 100) and it works fine, but again it is stiff even when heated.

Good product and as described

This is a good product but had to give it only 3 stars because the tubbing is very stiff and difficult to both work with and push onto my water distribution manifold. I had to resort to warming the tubing with a flame to soften it up to allow me to get it onto the barbs of the manifold. Outside of that, it has been working well with my Dutch bucket hydroponics setup.

A good tubing for yard micro systems

the tubing is fairly rigid and strong. If you need a lot of flexibility go with rubber and not this type. It works very well and can hold up under freezing conditions.

Works for my RO machine

Just got an RO buddy for my salt water tank. This stuff works great in place the the hard plastic tubes they sell for it and it's 1/5 the price!
