My son is 10 and we have done a lot of science kits and subscription boxes, so we had already done some version of almost all of the experiments before. So, for us this was more of a review of the concepts. But, it would be great addition to a library, classroom or home for kids who are just learning about rainbows or would like to know more about them.

My son is 10 and we have done a lot of science kits and subscription boxes, so we had already done some version of almost all of the experiments before. So, for us this was more of a review of the concepts. But, it would be great addition to a library, classroom or home for kids who are just learning about rainbows or would like to know more about them.
The wording explains things clearly to kids to them to understand. I learned things too! There was one spot though that irked me. The pages talks about the best time to see a rainbow, then says "Why that time? If the sun is too high then you can't see a rainbow." To me its sort of answering the question with just "Because" . I just feel it doesn't really answer the question, particularly when they explain other things so well.
The kids love the rainbow glasses, though I do wish there were 2 pairs so the kids could try them at the same time.
Overall I think this is a great book and highly recommend.
