It was fantastic reading Moselle and Shiloh's story, both are dealing with their own demon in some sort of way. Dealing with heart issues without the right tools shame on us try a dose of healing. We diagnosis and medicate all other issues except the heart we just keep pushing.
The heart is a tricky muscle it wants what it wants and no amount of the perfect gentleman or any resolve we can think of can claim it until it heals and gain strength.
The protagonist and supporting characters were outstanding in their delivery, but the one thing that kept this reader turning page after page was the idea of family. For us all family looks different, but no matter what; we are there for each other through the good and the bad.
Jackson reminds us in Raising Tristan that women aren't the only single parents out here doing the thing. So the next time you see a single dad doing the do, stop and acknowledge his efforts with a fist bump or simply an acknowledgement.
Fantastic read, and the tease at the end of the story reminds the reader that the one character that got away might return and this reader cannot wait.
