I'm an Italian-American, who has been around for a long time. My Dad, from the Old Country, used to make the best gravy I ever tasted.

Over the years, I have tried probably every brand of Marinara sauce on the market. They all left me wanting......until I tried Rao's Marinara. It tastes perfect...wonderful...authentic. Read the ingredients.....everything is fresh....everything is natural.

It costs more than many of the major brands, but, it is worth it. My Father told me, so many times, never to be cheap with the important things is life. Italian food, and gravy, are important in our home.

My Dad is in Heaven now, but he must be looking over the shoulders of the people at Rao.....because their gravy is as good as his. (Sorry, Pop!)

If you really appreciate an excellent gravy, you MUST try this.

Ciao!

This is the best marinara in a jar we've ever tasted. We like to keep some on hand for quick meals and when our local grocery stopped carrying it we had to go online for it. Twice as expensive as the common brands but tastes ten times better.

Coming from an italian family that loves pasta, this is the best pasta sauce you can buy. It's tangy and delicious, not too chunky but not pureed and textureless either. And it isn't sweet at all, like Prego is. It's just perfect, and the only marinara I buy.

Rao's is much more expensive than most jarred marinara sauces but it's worth the extra cost. Most sauces have so much sugar/corn syrup added they taste sweet rather than spicy. Rao's tastes like my own homemade sauce. Not sweet and plenty of flavor from herbs, spices and garlic..

What used to be, far and away, the best jarred marinara on the planet - is now just "ok". The sauce seems more pureed, or something. It's much more bland, and just not worth the price tag anymore. Time to start shopping for a new brand. Raos, it was good while it lasted.

I have used Rao's for years and consistently raved about it. Well, I was very disappointed by this shipment. It was oily and did not have that fresh San Marzano tomato taste. I hope they realize their mistake and correct it. I am bummed.

I bought this exact product at Walmart recently (fell in love with it) and the label read 60 calories per 1/2 cup and 5 grams of fat. Now these jars have 80 calories per 1/2 cup and 7 grams of fat and taste oilier. I wish they would've left the original recipe alone! I wish I wouldn't have bought 8 jars of this!

This is really good sauce. I got it because I saw the Barefoot Contessa use it -- without naming it -- in a recipe. She had the label turned away from the camera but if you knew what this label looked like you could tell. I buy a case of 6, use it slowly over time, always have good quality sauce ready.
