Set up a compressed air system with the 1/2 in. Rapidair Master Kit with 2 air outlet locations. Single layer nylon tubing can be mounted on wall surfaces or in wall. Reduce shop clutter with this easy to install compressed air piping system. No glue, soldering or crimping needed. Simply cut the tubing to length and insert in the fitting. Tubing can be removed from the fitting with a push of the outer button. Easy to expand with more air outlet locations or modify later.

The reality is that this is a 3/8 inch (ID) system. If you order any other parts, including for example standard NPT fittings, you need to be ordering 3/8 inch components.
If you are ordering other Rapidair components, you want the black push-fit fittings, not the shiny 1/2 inch fittings. The references to 1/2 inch O.D. in the literature for this system are correct, but misleading.
Rapidair actually makes a 1/2 inch (I.D.) system, which they call a "1/2 inch" system. That's a standard side. This one was apparently just mislabeled by some moron in the marketing department that didn't consider how much it would screw things up.
The second flaw is that the system is really only configurable in a single fashion - as a compressor in the middle with two legs, each ending with one of the outlets. Providing a tee fitting would increase the flexibility immensely, including allowing for the compressor to be at the end of the system, rather than the middle.
The good: you can have your garage plumbed for air in an afternoon. This will install a lot faster than any other method of air distribution.
The sharkbite connectors are really cool. It's nice to be able to insert and remove air line quickly for when you want to change configuration.
You will never eliminate air leaks - they're not major, but they have my compressor cycling on every half hour even if I don't do anything with the system. I ended up adding extra ball valves to the system so I can close off parts that aren't in use to reduce the air loss.
The 45-degree-angle outlet pieces aren't terribly high quality. One shipped with a crack in it - fortunately I was able to work around it. Since they don't have a swivel joint built in, you have to hope you can get it at the right angle when you've screwed it in.
The rear holes on the outlet boxes are nice if you're doing in-wall stuff, but if you're not, the plugs don't fit flush with the housing, which makes it harder to screw the boxes to the wall and have them sit flush.
The screw holes in the outlet boxes are just wide enough apart that you probably won't be able to hit a stud on both sides.
Being flexible, if you mount this on the wall the system will droop on the horizontal runs unless you use a ridiculous number of (not included) hose clamps.
You probably need more than what's in this kit. If you're running a normal home 30-50 gallon air compressor, it probably has a 3/8" line coming out of it, and the distribution box is looking for 1/2". I ended up using one of the 3/8" outlet boxes as my input from the compressor, and I put the distro box on the ceiling to feed my 1/2" air reel - this future-proofed the ceiling install for when I replace the compressor with something beefier.
There's no way with the kit alone to have moisture drains. You'll need to buy T-sections and extra sharkbite connectors to set that up. It's not strictly necessary for many uses, especially if you have a drier on the line, but for those long sessions with an air chisel where the compressor has to fill multiple times, it can spit enough water down the line to overwhelm the air drier, and then it's nice to be able to dump water out of the lines.
Overall, figure on supplementing this kit with around $40 in other parts for a fairly minimalist install (left wall, ceiling reel, right wall).
