I am a professor in South Korea, and am working on my Ph.D. in Advanced Prophetics. I wrote my Master's Thesis on The Ekklesia and The Antichristos, and had come to the conclusion that the "Rapture" was in Revelation 6 and 7, i.e. an interseal rapture according to Jacob Prasch. However, something bothered me: Paul's description of the "Resurrection/Rapture" in I Thessalonians 4:16-17, i.e. "For the Lord Himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: the dead in Christ shall rise first: then we who are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord." So, where is this with regard to Revelation 4 (Pre-Trib) or Revelation 6 and 7 (Pre-Wrath)? Well, Michael Snyder has done an excellent job of clarifying this highly divisive subject among the brethren using the Bible focusing especially on the words of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, as well as those of the Apostles Paul, Peter, and John. If you were unsure of which position is Biblical, I can assure you that after reading The Rapture Verdict, you will walk away with the Biblical position as stated over and over again by our Lord and Savior. Remember, the days of Noah? The people were warned generation after generation, until finally God Himself shut the door of the Ark with only Noah, his wife, his three sons and their wives on board. Then, sudden destruction came. So, it will be in the very near future...I thank God that He is raising up men like Michael Snyder who can get the truth out in a variety of formats! Be rest assured, you will be blessed by this book! Take care and God Bless!

I have had the privilege to get to know Michael via email and his blogs. He is very articulate in his writing, and is a wiz at researching and synthesizing all the current events, not unlike the sons of Issachar in Biblical times; they discerned their times and seasons for the Hebrews benefit. That being said, I read this most recent synopsis of the Rapture issue, being on the pre-wrath theory myself. Michael has me reexamining my long held view based on this material. I believe we all must be open to rethinking our stances on certain "pet" issues, otherwise we are no different than the Pharisees. So, get this book, read it, underline it, research it for yourself, then...as the Lord leads, do something about it!.Time is short, my friends, and the American church is asleep at the wheel..Wake up, for the love of Christ Jesus, and let His words to you be "well done, overcomer, enter into your reward with Me"...

I am a Medical Scientist who has worked in R&D in the past and have been in this field for almost 30 years. As a Scientist and a Christian, all of my study must be evidentiary based and I rely on Scripture to lead me to the truth. In my studies, I use Logos 6 software due to the incredible research tools available, especially the interlinears and reverse interlinears.

Mr. Snyder appears to have a similar basis for his Bible research and it is no surprise since his background as an attorney would have left him trained to use supporting evidence. This book is very heavily documented with Scripture, sometimes being redundant for those of us who study the Bible often, but I understand why he did that so I did not deduct for it. I do wish he had left out some of the commentary, which can at times feel like it is denigrating others who do not understand his viewpoint. This is a touchy subject, as seen with the one star reviews and a straight forward laying out of facts would have been my approach. However, the facts are overwhelming and he has saved me months of research by writing the book. I was able to read it within a few days and then fact check his Greek (and some Hebrew) to see that he was correct on interpretations. I had early on believed from my readings of passages in the Old and New Testaments that the Ressurection (I don't care for the term Rapture) would happen in or at the end of the 7 years of Tribulation, but I actually had been leaning more towards the Pre-Tribulation after speaking with some Christians and Christian leaders who I assumed had studied more since I have mainly focused on researching fulfilled Prophecy to use as a testimony for the non-believers I am trying to inform.

I am not a fan of this work, primarily because the author makes no real distinction between Israel and the church. The book relies heavily on two main “go to” passages, Matthew 24 and Revelation 20. In Matt 24 he focuses on the angels coming to gather the elect from the four corners of the earth immediately “after the tribulation of those days”, meaning the Rapture couldn’t possible come until after the Tribulation period. The only problem is, Jesus is not speaking about the Rapture at all, but the fulfillment of a specific promise to Israel in Isaiah 11:12, and 43:5-6 where the Lord promises to regather the nation of Israel from the ends of the earth back to Israel for the start of the Millennial kingdom. I see no place in scripture where the church is gathered by angels. We are told we will be instantaneously—in a twinkling of an eye—transformed to be given a glorified body. We won’t need any angel to take us anywhere. The other reason why this passage cannot be referring to the Rapture, is during Jesus earthly ministry He came to fulfill specific promises to Israel as their Messiah. There were only promises for the Messianic kingdom that were in view—nothing yet that related to specifically to “the church”.
The passage in Revelation 20 refers to the “first resurrection”. The author repeats many times that since this is the “first” resurrection this passage therefore must be a reference to the Rapture/Resurrection. However, if you read who is being resurrected in this passage, it is a very specific and limited group of people. It does not include all the saints that have died throughout the ages. It is ONLY includes those who were beheaded, didn’t worship the beast or take his mark—meaning those who died during the Tribulation period.
