My favorite night time treat is a hot cup of homemade (not packaged instant) cocoa that is only slightly sweet. One big problem: it's always treated with alkaline which gives me migraines, and other organics I've tasted don't remotely resemble good chocolate. Then along came Rapunzel--an ugly can (hey guys, you need to redesign) but terrific tasting organic cocoa that gives me NO MIGRAINES!

I used to buy the 5 lb bag but can't get it anymore. Do you sell it?

This organic cocoa is excellent. It is amazing what a difference organic makes in the taste. The chocolate is so good that I use less sugar in anything I make with this cocoa. Just good, true, chocolate.

I love this cocoa because it is so rich and fragrant and not overly processed. It is in fact produced without the use of alkali, as opposed to Dutch Cocoa, and as result is able to maintain more antioxidants...and to me it does taste closer to what a cocoa bean tastes like. I think Rapunzel should advertise the fact that they don't use alkali more. Regardless...it tastes great and we buy it by the case!

I have gluten and corn intolerances. At one point I thought I was also intolerant of chocolate and cocoa, because I reactions to several brands of cocoa. Then I found this cocoa, and miraculously... I find I am NOT intolerant of cocoa, I was just eating cocoa that had been contaminated in some way by one of my enemy foods.
This appears to be pure. Not 'cut' with cornstarch or some other ingredient. It is also very smooth, no bitterness to it at all. I actually did not get it blended well in a recipe and had little balls of cocoa in my cookie. But eating that was not unpleasant! This is VERY GOOD cocoa!

This is such a delicious cocoa powder. My skin has never been better since I started using this cocoa powder. The key is that is NOT "Dutched" with alkali. Most of the cocoa powders out there have been proceesed with alkali to remove the acids and make the cocoa taste "better". The problem (undisclosed by purveyors of mass cocoa) is that the alkali Dutching removes a significant portion of the antioxidants. Dutched cocoa powders are less robust but will not deliver the same health benefits. Rapunzel is good value and top in its class.

Repunzel's organic cocoa powder is the best I have ever used! I used it to make homemade hot chocolate and it is so good that I never want my hot chocolate any other way. I also used it to make chocolate ice cream and that was awesome! I never want to have store bought chocolate ice cream again. Repunzel makes the best organic cocoa powder ever!

I love this cocoa.

I originally bought it because it was organic, but I've continued to buy it (and I've been through probably a couple dozen of these containers) because it is delicious.

I particularly like that it is non-alkaline cocoa. Most cocoa is alkalized ("Dutch process") because it makes the flavor milder...but supposedly that gets rid of some of the benefits of cocoa.

This cocoa has a delicious flavor, very different from the burnt (aka cheap cacao) flavor that most grocery store brands have.

Makes delicious hot cocoa, great chocolate milk, wonderful peanut butter cups, fantastic cakes, and so forth. If you're going to take the time to make whatever you're making, and if you're going to put it into your body, you might as well make it worthwhile.

If you're considering this cocoa, give it a try! It isn't as cheap as some other cocoas, but I think it is the best. Anyhow, you get what you pay for, don't you?

My favorite way to prepare this is to mix roughly equal amounts of the cocoa and agave syrup, adding just a few drops of hot water to make it the consistency I want. Sometimes I sprinkle it with a dusting of organic instant coffee. Even a teaspoon full of cocoa prepared this way makes a very nice treat after a meal.
