As of April 11, 2016, this case has been fully updated for the Raspberry Pi 3.
In order to accommodate all variants of the current format, the case features two sets of LED openings on either side of the Display Connector.
In addition, the openings above the CPU and LAN chips are sized to accommodate heat sinks for 3 generations of the Raspberry Pi, including versions 3, 2 and B+.
An Elegant, high-end case for your Raspberry Pi. Fully assembled, this case is as solid as can be. Featuring a removable lid for easy access to all connections with allowance for cable routing with lid in place for a clean appearance. Two camera mounting options (on the base or hidden beneath the lid) make this the perfect case for use with a camera.
This case is not flimsy or brittle, unlike other cases, this case features a thick-walled design strong enough to be taken apart and put re-assembled many times without failure.
Not suitable for the Model A/A+ boards or the original format Model B.

It's simple, small, and the pieces fit together well. All ports are easily accessible. Tooless design. The top seems to just sit in place, but holds on well enough.
A Raspberry PI 3 will run hot in this box with a moderate load. There is nowhere to mount a fan without custom work.
Some cat5/6 cables may have trouble locking in. Some addon boards will not fit.
A hole will have to be cut in the bottom will have to be cut if you want to fit a heatsink on the bottom chip.
They appeared to take the camera into account without putting a mount point.
Stock Pi 3 with small heatsink:
Full load: 80°C (throttling)
With custom heatsink and fan:
I intend to mount this to a panel and expect that I'll be able to pull the middle piece from the bottom to disassemble, change the SD card, etc., leaving the bottom screwed in place. I'll update this review if it doesn't work.
To use this for a 3B+ takes two modifications.
1: You need to file away a bit of the plastic at the end of the GPIO header to make room for the POE pins, which otherwise prevent the board from sitting in the middle piece. I used a small, square needle file.
2: Also on the middle piece, on the bottom (board side), there's a stand-off between the HDMI and power ports that interferes with a somewhat large SMT component. Take a sharp knife and remove half of the stand-off, until the board fits properly (there's a smaller SMT component on the 3B which also interferes with this stand-off, so I had to trim it down even for the 3B). Total modification time, well under 5 minutes.
There's room for an ample heat-sink on the CPU, for both the 3B and 3B+. Mine is 14mm tall. The network chip is in a different place on the 3B+ so you can't put a heat-sink on that without more filing, but the network chip shouldn't need one.
Luckily I was building this B+ for a friend and gave him my old official case. I'll be using this one for my old 3B.
There are 4 new pins which block the plastic from closing completely.
The lid also doesn't close completely, as that's blocked by the Pi itself.
Not a great case, but I'll use it until I can buy a replacement. I do like the ventilation on it but that's about the end of it.
Would I order again? Yes if it was a Raspberry Pi 2 specific case. I noticed on the box it came in one sticker said for Raspberry Pi B+ and a second one listed Raspberry Pi B+ and 2.
- Lots of air flow
- Looks super cool
- Built fairly solid
- Priced well
- Mounting holes are under the board.
- Little tricky to get the board in place
- No screws holding it together so it can come apart if dropped
