I had a canakit bundled powersupply go bad after a few years, at some point my raspberry pi was unable to really boot, I flashed a fresh install of Raspberry Pi OS, which allowed me to boot to the desktop, but it would freeze after that. After swapping the power supply for this official Raspberry pi one, not only did it start working, it started working faster than it did before (just a bit more responsive).

As an aside, I hope new versions of Raspberry Pi will have actually compliant USB c implementations, the current situation prevents higher end chargers from working with it

Got this for a NanoPi rather than a Raspberry Pi, as it was the cheapest and most available 5V3A USB-C power supply on Amazon. *Power supply* — that's an important term. This is not a charger, it's a *power supply*, which is essential when using it to run a single-board computer like a Pi. It can and will deliver 15W nonstop, while a charger is unreliable at best.

I really wish all the SBC manufacturers would use barrel jacks, but whatever. It's not horribly overpriced so I suppose I can't complain.
