Now because I don't want to leave this review at that...
I've noticed that when A LOT is happening on screen at once, the game starts to go in slow motion, which is obviously a flaw, but I actually find it kind of cool; I even deliberately make it happen sometimes. Regardless, it goes away as soon as things clear up, like as soon as all the explosions your making go away and you've absorbed all the bolts when there is a mass in your vicinity.
Trophies are a good incentive to finish each game one hundred percent; not that they aren't fun enough on their own to do so anyway. A tad bit disappointing, though, that some are just skill points. Not a big deal, but it's something.
One thing that this collection has done for me is made me appreciate the advancements of the series. The addition of strafing was insanely useful and it is VERY annoying having to Pause the game and go into the gadgets section to reach a gadget you need for this ONE part of the level. You could put them all on your wheel, but then you'd have to do the same for weapons. Don't appreciate what you have till it's gone indeed.
Very fun games and an insanely good deal. These collections are great bang for your buck. If your a fan and just want to play the old games again or if you just need something that'll eat up some time, don't hesitate to nab this!
One of my favorite parts was to see the progression and improvements of the games, and how they got more and more fun and closer and closer to what I thought of as Ratchet and Clank games, having started with Tools of Destruction.
Having said that, I did find myself wanting to just finish the first game, just for the story and completion and not so much for the gameplay because it just want that enjoyable for me, but I loved the other two games and I really enjoyed seeing how insomniac improved EVERY aspect of the games as the series progressed.
I would recommend this to anyone who has missed the Ratchet and Clank games that came out for the PS2. They made me love Tools of Destruction and A Crack in Time that much more.
With that being said it's all still great, all the games are in HD and widescreen, trophies have been added and there's a platinum trophy for all 3 games (I got all of the platinums, they're not too hard but it does take time). As long as you don't mind the first couple of games (mostly 1 & 2) being a bit dated you're going to have a great time at a crazy low price.
With the recent release of the new remake/remaster of Rachet and Clank for the PS4, some players may want a bit of the nostalgia of the old. This is the game collection for you. Up-resed to look great on modern consoles, bugs and glitches from the old PS2 versions fixed, and best of all trophy support for the score chasers.
A solid 5 out of 5 and worth the money! Great for both old and potential new fans of the series.
