Combining Ratchet & Clanks adventure roots with an epic storyline and immersive gameplay, Ratchet & Clank Future: Tools of Destruction draws players into a vast, new galaxy more vibrant, diverse and interactive than ever before. With bustling cities, gigantic enemies and giant boss battles, Ratchet & Clank Future: Tools of Destruction delivers a sophisticated, yet humorous adventure for fans of all ages. After saving countless planets from dreadful doom and earning intergalactic mega-celebrity status in the process, Ratchet and Clank have taken some well-deserved R&R - again. Yet, Ratchet remains restless. An orphan of the universe, he has never known anything of his past, his family, or his Lombax origins. And no one, not even Clank, can fill that void. Unfortunately for Ratchet, someone else is equally interested in Ratchets origins: Emperor Percival Tachyon. In his thirst for revenge, the vile tyrant of an ancient race of foul insect-like monsters called Cragmites has festered an age-old grudge and is bent on wiping the last-known Lombax off the universe. As Tachyons forces ambush Ratchet and Clank in their home galaxy, our heroes realize they need to escape quickly to prevent its destruction. In a move of desperate irony, Ratchet and Clank steal Tachyons imperial warship and embark upon an adventure bigger than any theyve experienced- one that will not only unravel the mystery of the Lombaxes, but also test the very limits of their friendship. What makes this game a masterpiece is not just the beautiful graphics or the exciting storyline. The fun characters keep it going but what really impresses me is the diversity of each level. I have played this game for over six hours and each level looks completly different from the next. From being in the asteroid belt to going to a destroyed city and then travelling thru a prehistoric land.
Ratchet & Clank Future: Tools of Destruction should be on everyones buy list. This is what gaming is all about. For children or adults this game doesn't discriminate. Never overlly difficult and not to simple. This game does it well on all levels.
This is the best looking game 'til date on any platform. I literately just stop playing and admire the beautiful environment.

100/100 - GamePro
An amazing PS3 game that fully leverages the power of the console. It sets the bar high for not only the series but for all PS3 games to come. It is, without a doubt, reason enough to buy the system.
100/100 - GameTap
It's rare that a game critic feels the way I do about this game, but in all honesty, I find it really difficult to find something that's not to like. The controls feel great. The graphics look great. The score sounds great. The weapon selection alone make me want to play the game over and over again, just to test out all the cool offered.
95/100 - PSM Magazine
Combines absolutely jaw-dropping graphics with familiar platforming/shooting mechanics and genuinely funny humor to make one of the PS3's few true masterpieces.
94/100 - IGN
Not only has it supplanted Going Commando as the best title in the franchise, it's also the best game of any series on the PlayStation 3 thus far -- and that's saying a lot when you're up against Oblivion, Ninja Gaiden, Warhawk and Insomniac's very own previous effort, Resistance: Fall of Man.
New York Times - "This is like playing a Pixar movie"
The graphics and sound are truly stunning in this game. I agree with the other reviewer who died looking at the backgrounds - you will keep falling off the map watching the graphics in the game. With this R&C you believe you are playing in a Pixar movie.
This is the game we have been waiting for - one that is truly playable and looks and sounds amazing. It's time to buy that PS3 if you don't own one already.
I was NOT disappointed! In fact, it's taking a few extra towels to clean up the drool!!
This game is incredible fun, and incredibly beautiful! It sounds wonderful, and has great depth in the environments. This is definately the current crown jewel for the PS3, and is a MUST BUY for anyone w/ a PS3.
Insomniac has YET to let the Playstation community down, and this just proves they keep getting better.
BUY THIS GAME!!!
There are questions if this is a PS3 seller. I dont know the answer. But sure this is a HDTV seller. It will force you to sell your house to pay for 100000000" TV.
Probably this is the year for the return of good old school games. With Super Mario Galaxy coming in the next few days.
