REISS INNOVATIONS drops the ball in their listing

This crimper nets a 5-Star rating for functionality, however the listing by Reiss Innovations is misleading and in error.
"Not enough additional add-on die's. the one die set Amazon offers won't work. I didn't try the additional die but an inserted piece of paper that came with the crimper says it won't work (it's incompatible with this particular crimper.)"
This item is listed and sold by Reiss Innovations. They are responsible for their listings, but they don't care if you buy additional dies that won't work as long as they sell them. I left true and factual feedback on REISS INNOVATIONS and they have repeatedly hounded me to remove my feedback. Why? aren't they responsible for their listings? Right in their listing they offer additional die sets to work with this crimper but an included note within the packaging for this crimper there is a disclaimer stating that the additional dies will not work with this particular crimper. So in my opinion they need to state this flaw and prevent people from purchasing the additional die sets. So my feedback points this out to them which is legitimate. I left them a 3 star rating for their oversight. But in retrospect I wish I would have left them a rating of 1 star. They don't want to take responsibility for their misleading listing.
By The Way this crimper works fine, my only gripe is the listing doesn't point out all the facts for this crimper.
I'd also like to point out that Ken Reiss from Reiss Innovations acted like a bereaved child that someone took away his candy and cried and begged me to remove the feedback and resorted to calling me rude for denying his request for informing future buyers.
My advice to anyone considering purchases from REISS INNOVATIONS to reconsider and buy from a reputable seller that is honest and forthright. Begging someone to remove factual feedback is simply wrong. They in error think my feedback pertains to the product but it clearly points out shortcomings on the sellers behalf.
AVOID THIS SELLER TO AVOID FUTURE HEADACHES

Great Value for hobbist

This product works very well. It is much more comfortable on my hands than a traditional, cheap, crimper. It holds wire very well and makes crimping a snap. It also features a ratchet release in case you load the wrong terminal or are trying to crimp the wrong type of wire per terminal.

Perfect crimps every time

I used this crimper to crimp butt connectors for my first car stereo installation. Made the job so easy. I spent so much time researching this stuff, and I'd like to make this easy on anyone else who is thinking about doing their own radio installation for the first time. Buy this crimper along with two packs of these Express Seal (22-18) Butt Connector 10 Pcs. and this Irwin Industrial Tools 2078300 8-Inch Self-Adjusting Wire Stripper with ProTouch Grips Trust me, get these and you can't go wrong! I hope this saves someone who was just as confused as I was a whole lot of trouble.

Model HT-301 A pretty good crimper

I received this crimper today and had to try a red and a blue crimp. It worked fine on a 20 ga with a red and a blue. I was surprised the blue one held on a 20 ga although I don't think I would trust it to hold. The crimp pressure feels like it's exceptionally heavy. It worked best pushing the bottom handle against the bench. The crimp made is actually a double crimp design that I've not seen before. The high dollar ones I've use had a single crimp with a dimple that is seen on the insulator to verify a good crimp. The AMP and STA-Kon crimpers I've used in the past were much easier, had longer handles and they cost several hundred dollars that this retired guy can't justify. One observation is this crimper has a non-changeably die. Just did a little digging around. Parts-express carries the interchangeable dies and handles. They carry the crimp tool number 360-680 with changeable dies at a similar price point. If Amazon caries this handle for these dies shown here, I've not seen it.

Die not interchangeable

Inexpensive, effective crimping tool

I buy quick-disconnects in thousand quantities and I use this tool every day attaching connectors to transformer wires, anywhere from 5 to 10 per transformer. The crimps are consistent and uniform. The dual anvils are perfect for the better-quality connectors that have a split ring to clamp separately on the insulation and the wire.

I've had this tool for several years and it's held up beautifully. The stroke is adjustable for a full crimp on your favorite connector. It got stiff a couple of months back and a little oil on the pivots made it feel like new again.

good cripmer, except for

I like the ratcheting crimper, and having the interchangeable dies is great. It worked great on the larger wires, but does not make a tight enough crimp on the smaller wires such as 18 gauge, even with the tension control at it's tightest. I still have to use my old manual tool on the smaller wires.

Looks well buit-but CANNOT interchange Dies

The tool I received from Parts Express was made by Hanlong Tools in Taiwan, part number HT-301. It looks solidly built, but, unlike other tools like it, the dies CANNOT be interchanged. It says this on the back of the package, but not on the Amazon product description, which is why I deducted two stars (major lack of expected functionality, that was not described upfront).
If you need a frame close to this price range, to use with multiple dies, search for items like Parts Express 360-680.
