I love this series! So much so, that the conclusion has caused a bit of a depression. It's always hard to hit the end of a great series. I only hope to see some spinoffs, as there are so many great characters in this series, that there have got to be many more great stories to be told.
Rath is dropped into the biggest cluster of his life and has to find a way out. It's action packed, with twists and turns galore. Multiple players, many friends, acquaintances and enemies. They both help and hurt Rath's efforts to get out of the mess he's in. Great read! I would suggest this series to anyone that likes action, violence and just plain old fun.
As Rath says, "So this is how it Ends"
So I'm assuming this is the last book, but you never know!
Wow what a run!!! Amazing, stupendous, action-packed! You got it!
I love the way Mr Platt brings you back almost exactly where the other book ended. The Jokuan fleet is just beginning to land on Tarkis, Raths home planet.
I really hate spoilers, but i'm sure by now you realize Rath survives. I mean Duh!
So Mr Platt brings everyone that you have known from the other books back for this one. And in a stunning way. Boy does he!
You feel like you know these characters because he's put so much into them. And yes, happy endings abound. Sheesh they better if this is to be the last book.
On some level I hope he does a special novella in the future and comes back to touch on maybe what they're lives look like now. A reunion! YA! Raths Reunion *hint* *hint*
Well I for one am sad the book ended but as they say 'everything comes to an end.'
I really can't do much explaining if you haven't read the other books so I won't even try.
I LOVED this bookend would highly recommend it if you've followed Rath so far. I mean come ON! You have to know the ending don't you!!!
And with such finesse!
Bye Rath. For now!
Easy reading, with some the happenings in Rath and associates lives, entertaining, humorous and the characters portrayed remained true to their personal life code till the end. The twists and turns the story takes are good and the books hard to put down. Book editing very good.
Some interesting ideas for the future civilisations and given our current technology pace could be very easily achieved in the Future years. Some of the ideas are already here, just expanded on.
Thank you Piers, look forward to more from this author.
A well-developed world woven with interesting characters in a flawlessly written, fascinating story I long to see on the screen.
