5 out of 5 stars
The anthology Ravenous (Triskaidekaphilia Book 2) is a wonderful group of stories all about vampires. They are mysterious creatures that I always love reading about. They are brooding, sometimes violent, and alluring. I loved reading each and every story and in some cases wished the stories were just a little longer. There are vampires who start a revolution, travel to different planets, and are falling in love. You read how some of them are conflicted on if they should change the object of their affections and how some humans seek them out. Vampires are able to offer something that most humans would want, immortality. They themselves sometimes find they are tortured by the loss of humanity that they have experienced by being turned. One of the reasons that I enjoy reading anthologies is that I find new stories all in one book and also new authors to read. These authors have created stories that are amazing. I highly recommend this anthology for anyone who loves reading about vampires. This group of stories does include mature subject matter and very steamy love scenes. It would be recommended for those 18 years of age or older.
As the title for this anthology suggests, the stories in this anthology have been brought together to satisfy the fondness, or to be more succinct to satisfy the almost abnormal love readers have for a specified genre of stories, and in book’s case it would be more stories involving vampires.
The vampires in these stories span a wide variety of these creatures, they can be anything from the worst kind of boys possible to the ultimate kind of femme fatale; individuals who can both mesmerize and repulse us simultaneously.
Let us not forget that throughout history they’ve been akin to the infamous Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde; sweet/innocent one moment and a notorious scoundrel the next, and then back again.
Reading the stories in this anthology takes the reader in their world, a world where vampires and their hunters come together for some prohibited love making, a world where their threesomes can be found in unusual places, a world where only they can enjoy certain kinks none of us could.
If you enjoy a wide variety of vampire tales, then you’ve found your treasure chest of 9 of them here in this collection, a collection to which I’ve given 5 STARS to each of their authors and the stories they’ve given us.
Remember to keep your crosses and garlic gloves as close to you as possible, should they happen to appear as your read these tales.
I also just have to point out that I love PNR and anything to do with vampires and the undead so after reading the blurb, knew this would be right up my alley.
Theres an eclectic array of stories to suit all vampire lovers and they range from mild to kind of horrific. You have your alien vampires, your run of the mill romantic vampires and then there are the vampires who simply kill humans for the sake of it. Each story has a different way of depicting their version of what they think a vampire is or how they should act etc.
It's not just the blood and gore side of things either, again each story has the romantic vibe, some more erotic than others and I kind of think this anthology works well like that so that maybe you're interested in a dark story but afterwards feel you need something to lighten your mood, then you have that range. Don't get me wrong though, these aren't sweet reads, they're not for the faint of heart, but, they are for those that are looking for something a little different and pardon the pun, something to 'sink your teeth into.'
Each time I see these anthologies put together, it really makes me smile, theyre stories that I can read over and over and that to me has winner on it. Look forward to more.

Ravenous is the second book in the Triskaidekaphilia Series and is a wonderful anthology of stories that all have the same theme and inspiration- Vampires. Each story is unique to the author, bringing a variety of different takes on the theme.
There are nine contributing authors whose tales range from sweet and sexy, to a little dark and kinky- but all of the nine fantastic stories kept me engrossed right till the end.
There is an interesting, kinky take on a Dom/Sub relationship, a vampire hunter love story with a bit of a twist; a sexy and erotic vampire space adventure; one that reads like a vampire coming of age story; and one that is an interesting re-imagining of the Cinderella fairy tale, with vampires taking the lead- and more.
So, if you enjoy paranormal stories, books of fantasy, vampires, romance, and something a little erotic- then this really is the book for you.
Thank you to all the contributing authors!
