I actually quite enjoyed this puzzle. It is well made with quality material, the pieces don't make you feel like they're going to break if you accidentally get a little rough with them. The picture itself is vibrant and beautifully printed and I enjoyed the challenge they created with this escape puzzle. It's not quite like normal escape games or anything, can't really get that with a puzzle, but they definitely put a lot of thought into making this a challenge. I would say the only issue I had was that it needed a little more info for starting the escape part after finishing the puzzle.

I love the ravensburger puzzles but this one provided some surprises. The picture on the box is not the same as the puzzle. Most of it was the same except the middle wolf and a few of the small animals. I liked doing the puzzle, it just had a twist. Good quality pieces and graphics.

Frustrating puzzle, disappointing escape

This is the third of these I have done (after the Witch's Kitchen and Space Observatory) and while I am willing to do a couple more, I'm seeing a trend that I was willing to overlook before, but are getting annoying as I work on other "regular" puzzles as well. In general, the pictures are really dark and in this scenario, there's a lot of black, green, and gray to sort through. By the end I had sorted pieces by shape and was just brute forcing my way through it since every piece seemed like it would fit everywhere. The inclusion of the border trimmings in the box feels so lazy and unprofessional for a company with the reputation Ravensburger has, but it's doesn't hurt the experience. The biggest issue I am still having, and moreso with this one, is the escape part feels tacked on and lackluster. I accidentally put the final result together by accident, so when it came time to solve the number problems I already knew the answers I was looking for, not the mention the number problems weren't that intuitive.

That said, I still like the conceit, I like the images but they have to brighten them up so we can see the colors and details without having to hold each piece to the light, and the escape needs to be more satisfying. I don't know if this is all they are ever going to make or if there'll be a season 2, but some more thought into the product would be appreciated.

I wish there was a bit more information about where to get started with the clues. After reading instructions a few times I felt like I was missing the 1st step. Otherwise very happy with purchase.

Bought this for my daughter not for the escape part, but for the fact that she likes puzzles with wolves.

The edges of the puzzle were extremely frustrating as the pieces pretty much all fit in the wrong places and which so many pieces looking like each other, it’s really hard to tell me if the pieces are in the right place for an adult!

Beyond that, separating the “non-puzzle” pieces (and there were a lot) out of the box made this seem like Ravensburger was taking the quality out of their products.

OK, changing to 1 star now. The puzzle is supposed to be 759 pieces according to the box which I calculated to be 33x23 pieces. What I got was a “713 piece” (31x23) puzzle based on doing the edges. The quotes is because not only was I missing an edge piece, but of what I received, a few were clearly wrong edge pieces as well as I was needing more “lighter” color pieces than what I received (it looked liked some of the edge pieces were for the full picture (33x23), while the majority was for a truncated picture (31x23)… yes, the puzzle was ultimately closer to 93% of the picture on the box). Quality control here was a real miss.

Das Puzzle war ein Geschenk für meine Tochter. Sie mag gerne diese Exit-Spiel und puzzelt auch gerne. Da dachte ich mir: damit hat sie beides in einem. Und genauso war es auch. Erst hat sie das Puzzle gemacht. Ok, sie war sehr schnell fertig damit, aber sie kann das auch richtig gut und puzzelt in einem durch. Mit den Rätseln war sie dann aber länger beschäftigt. Sie kannte sowas ja auch nicht. Aber sie konnte die Rätsel am Ende alle lösen und hatte dabei viel Spaß. Das Besondere an der Escape-Version ist, dass man durch die Rätsel bestimmte Puzzleteile aus dem gesamten Puzzle wieder entfernt und so ein kleines Mini-Puzzle erhält, welches dann sozusagen die Ausgangstür ist. Tolle Idee. Meine Tochter möchte jetzt noch weitere Puzzle dieser Art machen.
