Product Description

Look out! There's a HEXBUG in the yard and it's coming after you! Players take turns rolling the die and moving their bugs across the yard, until the HEXBUG emerges from the tunnel and tries to bump them off. Stay standing and continue down your path - get bumped and you'll have to start from the beginning again! The first player to transport all of their bugs to safety wins this surprising buggy scramble! How to Play: 1. Roll the die and move one of your bugs the corresponding number of spaces. 2. Watch out for the HEXBUG! If he bumps your bug off of a space, return to start. 3. The first player to move all of his bugs to safety wins the game.

To say that my 7 year old has a bit of an obsession with robots would be quite the understatement! So when we found out that there was a HexBug game out there that featured what he considered to be a real robot, we knew it would be a hit at our house. Sure enough Ravensburger has done it again and created a new board game classic in our home!

Basically, the way the game works is that you are trying to get your pieces across a no man’s land before the little HexBug runs them over. This is such a cute idea! If the bug pushes them off their spot, they must start the course over. This creates some very tense but incredibly fun moments throughout the course of the game. More than once our gaming group was told to “keep it down,” because of all of the cheering and laughing that was happening.

We played this game with all six of my children at once (we had teams going). I was surprised that not only did all of my kids love it from ages 7-15, but also that their 40 year old dad (myself) was just as enthralled. What a delightful game!

And on a side note, I cannot tell you how fun it was to see everyone’s shocked face when they saw the robot bug defy gravity as he crawled through the clear tubes on either side of the board.

In the end, this was just one heck of a fun and clever game that my family got a real kick out of. Thanks again Ravensburger!

My kids love this game, highly interactive so the little ones stay engaged as well as the older ones. Only trouble is reliance on that hex bug, and that little bugger chews through those tiny button cell lr44 size batteries pretty quickly. Good news is there are plenty of sellers on Amazon who sell those in larger quantities than the retail stores and for much lower prices. Just be warned, and that's why I give this game 4 stars instead of 5, that you will need to invest in batteries to keep playing.

My kids love Nano Bugs! What a great idea to make, Bugga Loop, a game that includes them! During this game the Nano Bug does loops and even disappears under the game only to come back up and do another loop. The battery is included, thankfully so you can open Bugga Loop and get started right away; set-up is fast and easy too.

During the time the Nano Bug does its loops and disappears under the game, is when you can play and you want to do it fast to move as many of your bugs across the board. Once the Nano Bug is on the game board, you stop play and see how many of your pieces are moved by the Nano Bug. Once the Nano Bug goes on the loop again you have to pick up the pieces and continue the game again. It is a lot of fun to play!

This is a game I know we will continue to play as a family and I know my kids will get it out to play with each other too! The Bugga Loop game would be a great Christmas gift this Christmas for any kiddo who likes games, especially those who like Nano Bugs!

This game is surprisingly stressful to play. You never know when the Hexbug is going to pop out and run into your playing pieces. The young kids love it. They laugh and shriek and have a great time. (Just be sure to buy a 12-pack of batteries to have on hand.)
