“Mission Control, we are ready for the first day.”
In this cooperative board game, players work as a team of astronauts to build an outpost on the moon, which can include a starter base, habitat colony, research center, or a manufacturing facility. Players have twelve rounds to build the inner and middle “rings” of their round outpost. On each round, players will have to contend with a special event, ranging from power surges, meteorite strikes, oxygen leaks, and more. If the team can build four inner ring base modules and six middle ring modules before time runs out, their mission is a success.

As for playing, either we misunderstood the instructions or it scales really badly depending on how many players you have. Each player gets some resources each turn, and the group pools those resources to expand the station, so obviously having more players means you get resources faster and can expand sooner.
We have played this game three days in a row now. We really enjoy it, but it takes a LOT of concentration, focus, thought, and planning to play.
The game says it's for 10 and up, but I can't imagine any 10 year old I know having the patience to play this game. I'd say 16 and up really.
Much of the gameplay is involved in thought and planning. If you like logic puzzles, this game would be good for you.
The first time you play it, I recommend playing the training mission. It took us a little over an hour to play the first training mission and figure out how the game worked.
The second time we played it, we played the regular version of the game and it took us like an hour an a half to two hours to play it.
The third time, we played the regular version but had a strategy left over from the previous game that we adopted again, so it only took us an hour.
This game has lots of ways to make the game harder. There is an advanced version of the game, and you can do different specializations which will make the game harder or easier.
I can easily see this being a regularly played game since there are so many ways to vary it.
We love cooperative board games, and this game didn't disappoint in that vein. We had to talk a lot to discuss strategy and plan our actions, and it felt good to work together. We did manage to win each of the three times we played, but the first two times we just barely won.
This game would be easier with more players. We played it with two and it is doable, but more players would make things a lot easier.
You could easily add more than the 4 max players that are listed. I believe there are six different crew cards to choose from, so I could see this game played with up to six people easily. It might be too easy to beat the game with that many people, though!
If you're looking for a challenging and thought provoking game and have a lot of time in which to play, this is the game for you. If you're looking for a relaxing way to unwind, choose a different game.
