With regard to the aesthetic appeal of these sunglasses, they are all that and then some. The new wayfarer is a nice modern take on the old wayfarer, but what really makes these the NOW is the the honey clear plastic mixed with the black earpieces. These are modern classics, it's really really hard to not look cool in these, just google image new wayfarer 945 or outsider... You might see a few people you recognize rocking these.
My dad had a nearly identical experience with Leonardo di Caprio in Battery park. They were both wearing Maroon Ray Ban's and had a moment together.
Anyways... Ray Bans are the way to go, as far as I am concerned. These lenses aren't the darkest but you could also upgrade and get UV lenses for extra protection.
These are, hands down, the most beautiful Ray Bans. They are timeless, chic and gorgeous. Buy them.
End result, the shades I wanted at a price that was better then LC even with all the discounts. The prescription lenses are polarized so the end product has the same performance and appearance as the Rayban product.
My five star review is because of the price. These glasses were $129 in the mall, so they would be about $140 with tax. I paid $80. Almost half. I understand prices need to be higher in brick and mortar stores, and I generally don't mind paying a premium for it. But $60 savings on the exact same glasses?
