I bought this Wayfarer with light tortoise frame/brown B-15 lenses for the full price via Amazon LLC. Perfect! They are authentic. They are beautiful and functional. Just warning you, though. When they are on a big discount, they might be a returned or factory second pair. I'd recommend spending a full price if you don't want to get bothered with returned/factory second items.

The shades are awesome. I was worried about the tilt but it's not bad. They really do make you look sharp. I would definitely just order a new pair instead of trying before you buy; pretty sure they send out open boxes for the try before you buy option. I noticed my pair had a lot of tiny scratches on one of the arms.

I have had Ray-Ban for probably 30 years and I love them. They are classic in design, comfortable and great eye protection. I lost mine this year somewhere, that's what I get for taking them off and setting them somewhere and not putting them in the case or my purse! I tried to use my other knock off sunglasses which are fun my granddaughters love them as they are pretty blingy but not as good protection as Ray-Ban! So I tried for three months to go without and finally gave in. Got the try for seven days on Amazon, love that program so I could try them and now I have my Ray-Bans back!!!!

Meine alte WF ist nun etwas angenagt und ausserdem war das ein braunes Modell. Also mal schauen, wie die aktuellen sind. Gegenüber der Bausch & Lomb-Version hat sich auf den ersten Blick nicht viel getan, obwohl ich irgendwie das Gefühl habe, die Italiener lassen exakter fertigen als die Amis. Bei der Clubmaster z.B. ist mir aufgefallen, dass die Bügel filigraner und eleganter geworden sind.

Schön finde ich weiter unten den Kommentar, es sei keine echte RayBan, weil da Wayfarer im Bügel steht. Der hat dann eben nicht mitbekommen, dass RayBan verkauft wurde und nebenbei Wafarer zur Marke geworden ist. Und dann von Fälschung schwafeln... OMG.

The classic Wayfarer

My 20-some year old pair of these (prior to breaking across the bridge from a high fall on to cement... I guess the plastic gets brittle -- eventually) were sold as a different 'model' but seem identical to this set (The old set seems to be designated RB2009, but appears to be a dead-match for the new "original wayfarer" RB2140 50mm)

With luck, I'll get another 20-some years out of this new set before they are lost, stolen, or break. These are built to last, and in 40 years I've never regretted an investment in a good set of Wayfarers. While the bridge broke, and the frames had worn to a semi-scuffed matte buff in 20 some years of use, the lens' remained basically flawless, all these years. (Can you tell I'm a bit sad they finally broke? It's going to take years to get the character back into this new set!)

For what it's worth, I also got the 52mm RB2132 (tortoise / brown lens) and while the number get's bigger, the lens' get smaller.... the RB2132 is a lower-profile (specifically: the 50mm 2140 lens measures 40mm high, whereas the 52mm RB2132 lens is 37mm high).

I feel they both look good on me, they are NOT larger than my old classic 47mm(?) wayfarers, despite their listed size. If you want the larger lens' go for the 54s, at least, I guess.
