The second book in the Ray series brings us more drama, more fun and more of the gang!
I’m absolutely in love with this series! Rae is great - strong, smart and funny. Her relationship with Ryker is further explored in Ray of Hope. They grow closer, but Ryker always seems to be a bit too far away. I love the way E. L. Todd wrote this. We get an intimate look into Rae’s head. I find the alternating POVs of Rae and her brother Rex, instead of a love interest, to be unique and kind of brilliant, because despite the gang of characters, this entire series is more than just romance, it is about the unbreakable bond between brother and sister. Rex is fun, goofy and loyal.
I loved the book and can’t wait for more from the series.
The book starts off with the re-opening of the bowling alley that Rex bought. Rae and Zeke borrowed Rex money, and were involved with transforming the bowling alley into the NEW and improved Groovy Bowling Alley. The Groovy Bowling Alley is a success!!!
Rae and Ryker have been together for 3-month now. Rae's relationship with Ryker becomes serious, at least for her ... she has fallen in love. Ryker is possessive, defends her, and can't get enough of her. That is until she says the "L" word to him. Ryker immediately pulls away and breaks up with Rae. He doesn't do love.
In the meantime Zeke meets Rochelle and is now in a committed relationship. He's still in love with Rae, but has convinced himself that he's over her.
Kaylen ask Rex for help in attracting men. They hook up and have a secret relationship ... friends with benefits.
On to book #3 ~ Ray of Love
