This game stinks. All it is is a bunch of mini-games, there is no good story, there are no lands to visit, no choices to make. Not to mention, the graphics leave much to be desired. I've played every Rayman game and, up until playing Ravving Rabids, I have loved every single one. I was eagerly awaiting the release of this game. Wow, what a disappointment it is!
It is obvious that this game is really meant for the new Wii system. However, given that Ubisoft released it for other platforms, I figured they would modify the game so it would at least be fun on other platforms. Probably the only mod that Ubisoft made for PS2 was to add instruction screens that tell you which way to wiggle your sticks. If I needed practice in finger dexterity I would have taken up piano.
I think the raving rabbids must have taken over Ubisoft because they are out of their heads for coming up with this dumb game.
So Rayman purists - steer clear! And definitely steer clear of trying this game on a PS2.
I bought this for the Wii & my g-friend has it on the PS2 and there are some subtle differences. Shooting the plungers at the Rabbid Rabbits & drawing games are easier on the Wii. The jump rope and sling the cow are easier on the PS2. Also, the copy of the Wii has some pixelated graphics in some of the games. I thought it was just my copy so I exchanged it for a different copy. The second copy had the SAME pixelation in the same areas which leads me to believe the developers didn't 'polish' the game for the Wii or maybe there was just a bad batch of burnings.
In this context, it is a very good game indeed! Every mini-game has its own cute touches. There are only a few mini-games you will have to practice to beat. Most of the game is about the rabbits, and they make it beautiful. The animation, the screams, and the humor are absolutely up to par from the beginning to the end.
Easily a week's worth of single-player entertainment, and I haven't even explored multiplayer mode. A bargain and a worthy purchase for the PS2.

Okay, so I LOVE the Rayman platformers. They are great. When this game came out, I bought it at Walmart thinking it was a platformer. Read morePublished on April 6, 2011 by Mr. Prindle

There's only one word to describe Rayman's Raving Rabbits...silly. Some of the activities are simplistic but the payoff in humor is well worth it. Read morePublished on December 31, 2007 by P. J. Keane
