I notice the Vita version of Rayman Origins is $10 more than the console versions. Does it have any extra content to justify the higher cost for a handheld version?

$20 more expensive actually, since Rayman for PS3, 360 and Wii is now $19.99

That's a shame, because a nice platformer like this works well on a handheld. Hopefully it will drop in price soon, like it's console brethren.

I'm thinking on buying the game for both.. Ps3 and Vita, I think they Sync the progress properly right???

So I can play the game and get other people involved on Rayman using the Vita and then invite them to my place to play co-op on the PS3 (girlz mostly, yes I'm a man with a plan)

It's new, so it's at full price. Wait a few weeks and it'll drop.

Cars&Guitars says:
Rayman Origins for the home consoles (360/PS3) retailed for $60 when it first came out. So it makes sense for the Vita version to be $40. If you can't bother to pay full price, then wait a month or so for the price to drop then.

So the answer is no - it has no extra content, right? Touch support or anything?

I heard that on the Vita version, you will be able to share time trial ghosts... which I don't believe is on the console version?

It has touch screen support as far as pinch and zoom goes. You are able to zoom in and out on the camera and play at whatever zoom you'd like to.

Just wait 6 months on Vita. It looks like a very nice system but everything associated with it is insanely overpriced. I am a huge early adopter but this is one time I'm on the sidelines waiting for drops. Especially since they're already trying to pass of mobile games (Dungeon Hunter or whatever it's called) as a $40 game when it costs $1 elsewhere. Yeah, yeah, the Vita has analog sticks...not worth a 4000% markup. Rayman should've launched at $20. Wake me up in a year when Resistance is out (hey, a FPS for a device that was supposedly redesigned to cater to the FPS gamer, what a concept!), Motorstorm and ALL these overpriced games are $10-$15 used somewhere.

you can also pop bubbles with Lums in them with the touch screen by tapping them. Same with enemies after you attack em

The Vita version has touch support by way of Pinch-to-zoom and tapping bubbles.

Unfortunately it lacks co-op/multiplayer support, and as far as I know it does not have any cross-play/sync features with the PS3 version.

The Vita version just dropped in price by $10... so now they're equal.

Must have been a sale - it's back up to $39.99.
