I bought this keyboard because I was tired of hearing cherry switches, and my old BlackWidow had several non-functional keys. The build quality on the Anansi is great. The keys are all back lit with any chosen color in the Razer Synapse 2.0 configurator, which makes this keyboard unique from any other Razer's keyboards. The actual pressing of the keys are soft, but not silent. Customizing the keys are very simple with the Razer Synapse 2.0, which give you the ability to map most keys without issues (i.e mapping L key as R key, or adding a macro). The only real issue that I've had with this keyboard is there are customizable keys under the space-bar, which, before I bought this keyboard, was a selling point. However, now that I've had this keyboard for a while, I tend to press these keys unintentionally. I feel they are poorly placed on the keyboard, and probably should have never been placed on the keyboard at all.
+ Great soft feel of keys
+ Keys can be back-lit to any color you want
+ Almost all keys can be mapped to any macro or key press.
+ Extra keys on left side and bottom of keyboard, to be customized to any macro, key press, or function
- Poor placement of extra keys under space bar. Easy to unintentionally press.

Dropped keystrokes is the NORM!!!! Really hate it when I type in a password and that password keeps being rejected because of missing characters...keeps you guessing as to what's missing each time you retype the password!!! And CAPS at the beginning of a word...you have to go back and recheck each word before you hit enter!!! Totally annoyed with this pos, BUT have to keep using it until I can afford another!!
UPDATE: Can no longer program keyboard colors as of yesterday (12/11/16). The keyboard just keeps cycling thru the rainbow...cannot set just one constant color on RAZER SYNAPSE. This can only be resolved by uninstalling RAZER SYNAPSE!!! Tried uninstalling & reinstalling SYNAPSE several times...but no dice!!!

TLDR: None of the keys give a very good response so my fingers largely feel blind compared to a normal or mechanical keyboard. This is actually a pretty big problem for the thumb modifiers as you hit them with the side of your thumb, so unless you put a very very large amount of time memorizing the exact position/getting used to them you're going fat finger, a lot (the thumb modifiers largely feel like 1 maybe 2 buttons instead of 7).
+Razer software with all razer kb lets you put macros into any key (f can mash f and x for you)
+Thumb buttons have the potential to be more convenient modifiers than a normal keyboard
+Keys are space nicely apart so that fat fingering doesn't happen all the time, though it does happen
-Keyboard gives little response with actuation
-The slight bar that lets you feel what thumb modifier is on is so slight I didn't know it was there until I was staring at the kb
-Too many modifiers stuck right on top of each other. This would have been much better with alt cntrl and maybe shift spaced apart like normal keys Razer seriously phoned this in, they should have put naga hex mechanical keys with raised edges, decently spaced apart.
-Lack of response in keys creates a lot of hand fatigue, especially holding down thumb modifiers in the new position
-There isn't anything like it on the market, if you get used to it and they pull the product you're out of luck

I finally treated myself to this! I just got back into gaming and I decided to get a Razer keyboard for the occasion... I really love it! I haven't played with the settings and extra buttons yet... just the colors... but it's cool looking! You can choose for it to rotate through the rainbow spectrum (I do that on indecisive days) or choose any color you want. So with this one you're not locked into green or blue. The keys are a matte finish and I like the feeling of them.
Things to take note of... that I did not know before buying this... maybe it was in the description, idk, I probably just didn't pay attention...
1- It takes up 2 usb ports
2- You have to use the Razer Synapse software (which annoyed me at first, but I'm ok with it now) So to change the colors you HAVE TO use the software, there is no "color button". So when you first plug it in, you can use the keyboard but it will not be all lit up, it's easy once you get the program. I got very upset and frustrated with that when I initially set it up, not knowing you needed the Synapse program.
3- If Windows improperly shut down you can't select anything when it's on the "start in safe mode" "start normal" blue screen page it will automatically be on "start normally"... I have since then ordered a little cheapy pink silicone usb keyboard to plug in when that happens... still not the best feature of the keyboard that I need to have a "dumb" backup one.
4- and this is a very small thing... the Razer logo on it is a little too brightly lit so I almost want to cover it, the keys are dimmer than the logo so the light intensity doesn't actually match perfectly.
Overall, I love this keyboard, even with the few quirks! Mostly because I can make it light up pink and purple.
