I bought the stealth because I wanted a smaller laptop, specially for traveling.
So far, I've been using it for a few months and I have to say that I am really pleased.
I did a lot of research before deciding to go for this one, read a lot of reviews on websites and here in amazon.
Lots of people quite satisfied, lots of people pointing valid issues, lots of people pointing unrealistic things.
I went ahead and ordered the gunmetal version, quad core, etc... and I am very happy with it.
The build quality is awesome, feels and looks amazing.
The display is great (QHD + touchscreen).
Keyboard is great
It runs smooth and silent.
I use it mainly for browsing, movies, some photoshop and some modest audio editing (cubasis LE). It works perfect.
One important thing that I would say before you buy it is: set you expectation correctly.
This is not a magic laptop that does everything that you do on a bigger one or a workstation/gaming laptop. That is what the other machines are for. If I want to do heavy video or image editing, I'll use my Dell Precision.
What this laptop is, is a beautiful machine, very portable and more than enough for average resource consuming activities. The battery life is okay but the charger is so small that I don't really mind carrying it.

So my brief history with the Razer Blade Stealth i7 8th gen was great up until its rather abrupt end. The unit I received was defective given that the SSD malfunctioned by the 27th day and I was unable to get past the BIOS screen. USB booting and reinstalling of windows failed and any other attempts to repair it would have voided the warranty to I was forced to return it to Amazon.

The review for the laptop however will be on the whole positive. The screen is absolutely amazing. Razer has done a great job of reducing the bezels somewhat and the 13.3 inch screen is perfect for University level work. The speakers are loud enough to enjoy music and movies and the track pad is a joy to use. Unfortunately given it's an Ultrabook the keyboard could use some more travel, however this is made up for by the thinness and lightness of the device.

The design and weight, for the gunmetal version, is one of the true highlights. It is easy to lift with one hand and truly a portable machine. It is also suitable for a professional workplace and the minimalist design is a head turner

Performance is great and is fast and nippy in most day tasks. The i7 8th get processor does make a difference in day to day interactions. Pricing relative to the MacBook pros is highly reasonable.

I have had an unfortunate (albiet rare) experience with this device so that has soured it somewhat. But when it works, it is indeed amazing.

I’ve been a Mac user for the last 13 years, basically switched after a terrible experience with Hp laptop. I stayed with Apple as their products offered reliability and simplicity. My daily use consist of Office work, surfing and media consumption. I do light gaming every now and then. After Apple products got pricey when taking specs and software issues, plus windows 10 came with all the glory, I wanted to get a windows laptop. The 3 months search settled on Razer, and it did not disappoint. The keyboard is fun to type on all day, the laptop is crazy fast, the video card is not great for gaming or video editing but I’m not heavy on that side and already have plans to get the Razer Core. The TrackPad is accurate and my only comment on it is that it’s super sensitive with a bad palm rejection so you’re liable for some typos if your palms accidentally hits the trackpad. It’s not a big thing but can bug you sometimes. Screen is awesome and the touch feature is nice, though I think I use it only 5-10% of time. I found myself using this as my daily driver and I ended up leaving Mac.
Have no regrets and would buy it again.
PS, it’s been almost a month now and I may update if I will remember in future.
An Update:
Pros: still fast with windows 10, no broken parts externally. The keyboard is holding well with light/moderate use from my end.
Cons: hard to trade-in in large stores, thought of upgrading it and essentially can’t seem to get someone to buy it from me. Looks like I am stuck with this and that’s a big issue if you look to upgrade your tech as we all do after some time!!

Laptop is one of the only windows laptops on the market that understands why PCs keep getting destroyed by Apple. Simple design, good quality materials/build/feel, latest cpu/ram, more than 1080p display (retina actually exists for a reason on 13.3 macbooks), has thunderbolt and no barrel connector. Good keyboard and trackpad. My only complaint is the touchpad could be a little larger to make it more comfortable fully understanding that would also increase the length of the laptop.

Amazon sent me a return missing everything but the laptop. Which was already broken and couldn't hold its charge, and definitely not *new* like I paid for. Seals were cut open and re-taped but even the laptop itself was missing the covering and all of the stickers that come on these. I had to return it which took an unusually long time to send me the *new* laptop I originally paid for. I'm not sure why thats okay or the burden was all on me here. But Amazon did fix it for me. I just warn you in case *you* too end up with the thing me and somebody else before me returned. If you get something without stickers, no charger, missing all the wrappers, thinks its from UK if you can get it started. Thats not a new laptop.

UPDATE: (15 months)

Battery began expanding like crazy even though the laptop spent 99% of its life stationary and plugged in. Looked it up and see this is an extremely common problem for all razer blade stealths. As in, pretty much all of them do it after about a year. This is extremely dangerous because when batteries do this they risk puncturing themselves on other parts and literally setting the entire house on fire.

Sigh.. that was an expensive experiment. Back to Apple I guess...
