UPDATE:
If you have older Razer hardware you are stuck with Synapse 2, but new hardware won't be visible on it and you're stuck with Synapse 3. The two applications don't work together well. I'm ending my brand allegiance to Razer after 10 years and switching to another brand. As an IT Engineer, I can't be wasting my time engineering this software when the brand is so cavalier as to ship nonworking beta software with its hardware that conflicts with anyone who is brand loyal. STAY AWAY.

If you install the software that comes with the mouse as soon as you plug in, you will be in a world of problems. Synapse 3 is in beta, though from its problems it's more like alpha. I have been using the universe of Razer devices for about a decade, and the worst part of Razer devices is the Synapse software used to program keys and buttons. If you had existing Razer devices on your computer please beware of the software. In addition, though it is not automatically checked, it tries to load CRYPTO MINING SOFTWARE in the bundle. Save yourself the trouble and stick with Synapse 2, make sure your .Net framework is the latest and repaired so that Razer's crappy software has a chance to coexist on your computer.

If one pays almost 100 dollars for a mouse, then one would expect it to be damn near flawless. Well here are all the flaws of the Mamba.

CONS:
-Battery life isn't very good. Of course, this all depends on your usage of the Mamba. I average about 2-3 days, and i'm on the computer for about 3-4 hours a day. You have to shut the mouse off after every use, or else it will drain itself.
Compared to my logitech mx, the battery is a joke. I could leave my MX on for days and it will still work.

- Here is a biggie, that makes absolutely no sense to me. YOU CANNOT USE THE MOUSE WHEN YOU ARE CHARGING IT. . Mamba just shuts off, including RGB. . wtf razer. . . So I have to have a backup mouse for every time the battery runs out in the middle of use, which is quite often because, as mentioned, battery life sucks. Which defeats the entire purpose of having this mouse.

- I don't understand why it's taking Razer an eternity to make Synapse 3 work with Macs. Its been a year and a half since synapse 3 was released.......its been in beta for a year and half...lmfao

Pros :
- The mouse works as expected. FPS games, league, starcraft... all work really well, sensitivity and response is great...but then again, you are paying almost a 100 dollars...it should do all those things without a problem.

In conclusion, I would return the Mamba and get something else, but the Mamba matches (in looks) so well with my Hunstamen Elite, and my Core X Chroma... Honestly, i just keep it around for its aesthetics rather than its functionality.

Doesn't matter how great the Mamba wireless functions, it's just a 100 dollar ($88+tax as of now) paperweight that functions once in a while as a mouse.

"You get what you pay for" - does not apply here. you get way less

Update: 10-21-2019: The mouse completely broke, and it's only been 2 months since my purchase. I'm incredibly disappointed. I guess i'll be buying something else. down to 1 star from 2.

Double clicking issue, can't hold down mouse button

So I bought this mouse less than 3 months ago. My mouse has is weird thing where anytime i hold down the left click button. I used a razer orochi, and perhaps i use a different grip than most, granted like a "claw".

Whenever i hold down the left click button the mouse seems to cant decide whether to agree that i've got it held down or simply to click on its own as i'm holding down the mouse button. I've got no macros assigned, and it's severely debilitating. I honestly feel like I got ripped off with a second hand mouse or something.

Granted, i use a 'claw' grip so my fingertips are placed farther back along the mouse than others. But even with that, the mouse used to work. I don't know why it doesn't work anymore. Faulty software? hardware? Not a clue.

I've had amazing experiences with my razer orochi. Buyers beware.

I called razer today but had no response as it was after hours.

I hope to get a replacement and will gladly return this mouse to give a second unit a try.

UPDATE: After owning the device for less than a year, it's dead. Dead dead. Furthermore, with use, I have nothing good to say about this mouse or Razer, at all. Build quality, software quality, design, etc. are all truly cheap and lazy. Besides that, calling it 5G is misleading at best, as it has literally nothing to do with any aspect of the mouse, at all. It's literally meaningless. Seriously, do not buy this. Your money will go much further on literally any other wireless mouse.

I only got this mouse because it was the only 5G wireless I could find. Otherwise, I can't say I recommend it.

The mouse is more resistant to interference than 2.4 ghz options, but it's still not perfect. Interference or even just the mouse or computer sleeping will cause it to disconnect. Once this happens, it's anybody's guess if it'll connect again properly without rebooting the mouse AND computer, as the bundled software refuses to acknowledge that the mouse is there despite being able to move the cursor on screen. This doesn't seem so bad, except it also means
the lights in the mouse revert to their default rainbow-fade behaviour, needlessly draining the battery faster than if the lights were off. Razer claims that the mouse will store profiles, including light and button behaviours, but I've yet to see this actually happen.

Speaking of battery life, be ready to charge this every one or two days, and only with the included micro usb cable. Even though micro usb is very, very common, they've added extra indents to the connector to prevent any cable but their own from connecting to the mouse for charging. Once that cable dies, which it inevitably will, the mouse is doomed unless you buy a replacement from Razer. Furthermore, connecting the USB cable turns off the wireless ability of the mouse, so you can't charge and use it at the same time unless you happen to be charging it from your computer's USB port. I realize this is the setup most people will have, but if you're thinking of using it in a living room setup like I am, you should probably look for a better option.

Nevertheless, this mouse is far more reliable and responsive than any 2.4 ghz or bluetooth mouse I've tried, and it does feel nice in the hand. I guess if it goes on sale for a good price, it might be an okay buy.

I love this mouse so much. I am a huge gamer and it has massively improved my aim and reaction times as the mouse is very responsive. It has two buttons on the left hand side to bind to keys. It lights up just as expected and also matches the colours of my mechanical razer keyboard which is a lovely touch. Definitely reccomend.

Mamba Elite vs. DeathAdder Elite

TLDR; Overall the mouse is great, looks amazing and feels good to use. The only problem I have is there's between this and the DeathAdder Elite which is what this review will be focusing on.

Both mice feel, act and respond similarly with the integration of Synapse 3. The Mamba Elite includes two new "buttons" by moving the scroll wheel left and right which you can remap and two new LED strips of light. Aside from the Mamba having a slightly shorter hump and the M1 and M2 buttons having some railings on the edges for your fingers, there is no real difference.

Other smaller changes include the mouse wheel having more grip to it along with more of a strict and locked spin and the mesh on the sides are a different pattern. M4 and M5 buttons on the side are also slightly smaller for less accidental presses.

To conclude, if you already have a DeathAdder Elite, there is no reason for you to get this upgrade unless you want more LEDs on your desk as the mouse does look really nice. The only reason I'm giving it a 4 star review as a pose to a neutral 3 star is because of the looks of the mouse and the fact that the two new "buttons" I spoke of earlier were a nice added bonus. But as a 100$ worth bonus? That's up to you.

This mouse it's much larger than average it's also wired despite what some reviews and the description are saying. Given the amount of lights on this it's a good thing it's wired. The clicks are nice and firm very tactile and responsive. You can set the sensitivity in the razer app so you've greater controll than just windows app.

Suddenly, the left click no longer maintains activation. Meaning if I hold down the left click, it will disengage and re-trigger. This is an extremely annoying issue for dragging things around windows and very disappointing to be already happening with this mouse...

UPDATE:
It has just got even worse. I can't drag anything around, first and last buying razer. The cherry on top is that I started the process to return/fix the mouse through razer's warranty, and they want me to record video and jump through all of these hoops before I send them my mouse.... I know how to troubleshoot problems and your mouse is broke, give me a new one or refund not a laundry list of tasks, I have no time for that.
