Speakers, they are 2.0 speakers and have a volume loud enough for me to keep them at less then half and enjoy them. If they arnt loud enough for someone then either they need a hearing aid and have hearing problems unrelated to the speakers or just like to be blown off their seat listening to their lvl 60 Holy Paladin chain casting their best heal spell. So like I said, they are 2.0 speakers. Meaning 2 as in 2 speakers, Right and Left, and 0 as in NO SUB. So that's your 2.0, if it was 2.1 or 5.1 or 7.1 or 5.2 and so on then I would be very upset with the performance. They are a nice clear crisp sounding speaker. Don't expect this super surround experience.
Lighting, the whole reason we spent the extra $50 and got these and not the non-lighted ones. Well get ready to be disappointed. The lighting program is Razers Synapse 3.0 Beta. Software is ok to control as I have 7 items that use the Chroma app for light control. They look nice and cool...….in the dark. The light is very dim compared to other Razer products that are similar, like say the headphone stand. On the headphone stand the light is bright and there's enough of the LED's bulb (let's call it that) exposed to where it can be seen in a light room, however the speakers seem like they should be raised up about an 1/8th of an inch and the LEDS lens made twice as thick. I actually added thick felt pads to raise my speakers up, which helped the light alittle to throw the light out farther from the base. But having them sit right next to my headphone stand they are helplessly out shined and even overlooked by friends checking out my light setup in the normally light room. So that's the reason for the 3 stars.
In the end, I am happy with the sound, after my little mod to help with the light I am satisfied only. Sorry to say I really didn't even give much thought that this dim light would be a problem when I paid for them. I guess I had sub-consciously assumed it would match the headphone stand I had, and I didn't read anything in any review about this problem. Hope this helps. Enjoy!
It’s due to a horrible packaging oversight by them. You can see in the picture how the bubble wrap presses up against the tweeters. With the normal wear and tear a package will go through during its shipment I’m not surprised by this result.
I ordered a replacement unit and the left speaker had the same exact issue as the first one! The right speaker was fine with the first unit, but both were damaged on the second.
For $500 speakers this is a disgrace. The speakers should have a magnetic grill or a hard plastic cover over them for shipping To avoid this problem. Otherwise it’s a nicely packaged with a cool presentation. The design looks great imo for razer fans and gamers etc. The subwoofer is huge -About 2 ft tall.
I can’t comment on the sound unless I get a unit that is not damaged so I can actually use it. If that ever happens I will be fair and post a folllw up.
I went through three units the first time. The Third only one tweeter had a SlIGHT push so I settled.
Everything was fine for months until the speakers just died, no idea why. The power resides in the subwoofer. It’s concerning obviously, but to Razers credit the RMA process was smooth and they sent me a brand new system.
I added the photo to show the speakers now come with different packaging! No bubble wrap and a hard plastic cover to protect those cones. They are mint. It’s great to see they listened and acted on this.
Now I can actually comment on the sound and these are simply phenomenal. They are certainly intended for a desk and aimed at one user, but these things get LOUD and more importantly no matter how loud they remain crystal CLEAR. Warning, the subwoofer is huge.
I do not like the default THX eq. I set it to custom and either use the game (smiley) or music eq setting. It sounds way better than the THX or Dolby presets imo. I don’t use this for movies, only gaming and music. I have the sub around 30% and it’s perfect for my room.
I love to relax while at my desk and listen to music on these. Games are intense and you hear things you never used to because of the clarity and depth.
You can easily argue these should be cheaper, but I have not heard anything better for a pc, nor sleeker in style.
Do you want a pretty looking speaker that will make your friends jealous??
Say NOMMO! Get this speaker.
It's so pretty even Unicorns are getting jealous of the speaker's LED. Sound quality is decent but for the price tag you can get better options honestly. I'm a Razer fan and I had money to spare. If you're serious on sound quality do more research. Also this one doesn't have a separate bass, just 2 speakers.
EDIT 2/12/18: Speakers are running good so far...I know someone complained about the RGB not being the same or not as strong as the other Razer products but that is not true. They are exactly the same. I have attached a video so you can see them in action. I have the Razer mouse pad and the Razer Headset stand all with the Wave LED motion. Now do you understand why the Unicorns are not happy with me?

THESE ARE NOT GOOD SPEAKERS! In one year I went through 3 different speakers! The first one the logo was missing on one of the speakers, the second pair blew a fuse (probably) and did not turn on at all, and now my third pair has chroma issues!!! The lights will turn off and remain off until the speaker want's it too.
I will say that their support team is the best in the business, I love the Razer support... They are very helpful, kind, and understanding...
The most honest review I could give?
I WISH I NEVER BOUGHT THEM! NEVER AGAIN!
Please do not buy these speakers, they will work for a good 4 months, then you will start having problems. please make a better decision and go for these speakers instead of wasting money on this terrible product!

These are brand name items so they are higher quality (maybe not Logitech) than Razer.
As for sound quality, well, they all sound different, my first pair sounded like a wall was in front of each part of the speaker, but the bass was very good. My second pair had amazing sound quality, the best ones to date, then they no longer turned on. Sad days... My third pair the ones I have now and are in the hoping process of a return, are meh, not good, the mids are off, the highs are too high that it hurts your ears, and the bass HA this pair has the worst bass ever, I can't even shake my pipes with it... Oh well... I guess this was a project Razer must have rushed out and didn't spend enough time on...
Here is my older review based on my first speaker, as each speaker sounds different,
" Ehhhh, I am a Razer fan and I wanted the best of the best.... in all honesty these are just a show and tell piece as the sound quality is only “great” when you adjust it manually (my manual adjustment settings is below).
Furthermore, the audio enhancement features are crap, excuse my language, but for the price you would be expecting “bang and olfsen”, “bose”, “harman and karden” sound quality, but unfortunately it is not the same. I don’t know if I have a dud speaker system but there is no surround sound at all, when I turn that audio enhancement on, it sounds like there is a wall blocking the audio and it IS NOT CRISP and clean, nor, is the THX enhancement. The only way the audio sounded nice, crisp and clean, is when I customized it with my own settings (28% volume, bass boost of 41%-60% depending on song, 60hz @ +3dB, 250hz @ +6dB, 500hz @ +3 dB, 1kHz @ +4dB, 2kHz @ 0dB, 4kHz @ +3dB, 8kHz @ +7dB, 16kHz @ +4dB)
I tested the speakers with audiophile music going @ 192kb/s with my own settings above, and it sounds really nice, but for contrast I tested dollar store speakers against these and, well, the razer nommo pros won... who would’ve guessed 700$ speakers beat 20$ speakers... the only reason they won however was clarity ***when it was on my settings*** when on the THX audio enhancement for example, they were pretty similar to dollar store speakers lmao.... video attached in THX mode you can compare the audio in the videos
They do have a nice shape however, and the aesthetics are very VERY nice. I do really love the cylinder design. But for $700 I would also expect a smoother control pod it is a bit rough... also since there is no cage blocking the speakers dust and dirt gets on the speaker and it is very tough to clean.
Here is one question I had for aesthetics, does it light up to the beat of the music?
A: Yes, but, you need to download a separate chroma application visualizer on your computer for your lights to move to the beat (sorta)...
BTW the other speaker was the ArtDio UC-280 with 3” full range 4 Ohm Driver, 1.2watts*2....
However, I won’t lie the reason the sound quality is 4 stars is because of the bass, the bass is truly remarkable, better than “bose” in this sense. And the tweeters are also really spot on with those hit tats and high frequencies, the highest frequency I tested that I can hear was 17’235 Hz, so not bad at all. Humans can only hear about 20,000 Hz. "
I hoped this helped...
One last thing I wanted to say is Razer owns THX soooooooooo... they could just slap the THX logo on and voila.
(Sorry if some of the grammar is off)
My wife purchased these as an early birthday gift. I used to use an old Logitech speaker/sub set up with a high end graphics card set up.
The first thing you will notice when taking the speakers out of the box is that they are BIG. I was extremely surprised by the size of the speakers. The RGB lighting is very bright with a great amount of colour range. I have the colours in-sync with my keyboard, as well as my headset holder. The speakers are very clean looking and really pop with any computer set up.
For the sound quality, I definitely don't have any complaints. The sound is extremely clean sounding, and the volume can go up nice and loud if needed. The price is appropriate for the sound quality that you will be obtaining with these speakers. The sound is not ultra high end, but for everyday use/gaming these really sound great.
Overall, if you have some extra cash hanging around and you want a unique set of speakers you can not go wrong with the Razer Nommo.
