For the next version I would request back-lighting and longer range (the range sucks, so get that USB extender as close to you as possible). My Logitech k400r has much better range, but once again try gaming on a track pad.
On a final note, I know some people are bitching about a lack of page up or page down on the keyboard, but you have a scroll mouse!!!! Really? The only reason for a page up or down button, in my view, is if you're using a track pad. This keyboard & mouse setup makes netflix, vudu etc. so much easier to view because of the scroll mouse. I once had an IOgear keyboard with trackball and a scroll wheel all in one, I went through 3 because the build quality was awful. Great idea though.
The biggest issue I find is the small mouse and space for said mouse, however it is not a deal-breaker once you've spent some time with it. The mouse setup does make some games less playable. I believe your mileage will vary depending on the games you play. I highly recommend 2.4Ghz mode for the mouse, as I noticed a drop in gameplay performance in Bluetooth mode. Make sure your playspace is some distance from your wireless router or you may encounter interference.
The keyboard is fantastic! I cannot say enough good things about it. It is well-designed and stands on its own as a solid product.
+ Browsing. This device makes normal computing from the couch a dream. This alone could make it worth your dollar, but since it is advertised as a gaming peripheral, I'll focus on those aspects.
+ MOBAs (HotS/LoL) actually play great! You won't need a significant amount of mouse movement once tweaked, which I find makes the difference. I actually found my MOBA couch-game has improved somewhat due to the ergonomics.
-No backlighting. Not a big problem for me since I can touch-type, but could be an issue for others.
-FPS games play worse for me. I've played quite a bit of Overwatch on this thing, and find my accuracy and speed has definitely taken a hit during close-combat duels. I've tried many dpi and sensitivity settings, but it too often gets uncomfortable when a lot of movement is involved.
Overall I recommend it. It solves the problem of comfortable couch gaming that I've had for some time and has ridiculous battery life.
Cons: Way too limited. No USB ports to plug into for additional peripherals gamers use, (headset!!). Spacebar requires different pressure than the rest of the keys.
I love how easy it is to use this board. If your priority is to have a slim, low-profile board that's easy to store and keeps your living space clean and clutter free, this is a great board. If you're looking to use this in intense, high-action, super-precision gaming... you may want to consider different options.
The pressure required to register a keystroke is different for a few keys, most notably the spacebar. Also, unless you're very close to the tower or using the dongle extension, I don't recommend using the dongle - it was missing too many keystrokes to be reliable for fast typing or gaming. HOWEVER - the bluetooth connection is SOLID - no missed keystrokes there.
Lastly, the mouse-board/pad is just too small for intense gaming. Wanna play some turn-based strategies? Great, have at it. League of Legends? FPS's? Intense RTS games? Find something else to rest your mouse on.
Great quality board, just too limited for me to actually consider it worthy of high marks as a "gaming lapboard"
The overall quality of the product feels good and the keyboard keys are soft and responsive. The package also includes an extender if you want to set far away from your PC.
The only thing I don't like is the mouse pad is a bit small, and the mouse might not be very comforting for people with big hands.
But overall Razer Turret is a respectable product.
