Razor eSpark Electric Scooter: Light up your electric ride with real sparks! Inspired by Razor’s original E100 electric scooter with real sparking action. Cruise around the neighborhood in style with the Razor eSpark Electric Scooter. Step on the Spark Bar and watch the sparks fly! Boasting a chain-driven, high-torque motor, and a handy twist-grip throttle, the eSpark is the perfect device for pre-teens and teens wanting to zip over to a friend's house or head to the park. Unlike Razor's E300S and E500S scooters; whose motors start from a standing position, the eSpark Scooter requires a small manual kickoff to 3 miles per hour before starting (the rider presses a trigger to engage the motor). Once the rider is on the move, however, the electric motor ramps up to 10 miles per hour; fast enough to have fun, but not fast enough to be a menace on the street or sidewalk. And thanks to the long-life rechargeable twin 12-volt battery, which takes about eight hours to fully charge, riders can cruise for up to 40 minutes at a stretch. Other details include a folding handlebar mechanism for easy storage and transport, an 8-inch pneumatic front tire and 125 mm polyurethane rear wheel, and a hand-operated front brake. Also includes, two Spark cartridges, UL Approved battery charger, manual, and assembly tools. The eSpark is recommended for riders ages 8 and older and offers a maximum weight capacity of 120 pounds.
Razor has made their super popular electric scooter into a ride with real sparking action. With a twist of the throttle, the eSpark electric scooter rolls into action, quickly and quietly with a high-torque, chain-drive motor. And once he or she gets going, the real fun begins and they can step on the spark bar to watch the sparks fly. Designed for ages 8 and up, eSpark is crafted from Razor's latest high-quality materials, features a replaceable spark cartridge, and reaches speeds up to 10 miles per hour. It can run up to 40 minutes continuously and only takes 16 hours to recharge. Twist-grip acceleration control and hand operated front brake.

He even put down his Wii mote and powered down Minecraft to ride this thing. I'm only 28, but I remember when at his age I couldn't wait to get home from school to ride my bike around the neighbourhood and take it off some sweet jumps. I had a GameBoy and a Nintendo back then too, but spent most of my time riding.
I wanted my nephew to have the same excitement for something other than electronics (yeah I love technology too, but I'm trying to get him to be well balanced).
The Razor eSpark did the trick! Since we bought this for him 1 month ago, he comes home from school and is excited to ride his scooter. He's learning the value of taking care of something he loves. He even puts it away each night and plugs it in for an overnight charge.
RESPONSIBLE ADULT TESTING
As any well meaning adult that wants to make sure the product works well and is going to last, you have to test it to a degree your child will never get to just to make sure it will hold up. So I did what any responsible adult would: I RODE IT! Let me tell you, it gets moving - even with all 200 lbs, 5'11" of me.
The spark action is a definite plus that gets my imagination going. Reminds me of when I would stick a playing card in my bike spokes to make it sound like a motorcycle - wow, nostalgia hit me hard.
If you're a 7-12 yr old boy - you'll love it enough to put the electronics down and get outside.
If you're a 28 yr old man with a nephew, make sure to test it - for safety purposes, you know.
That was 3 months ago. This thing gets use almost every day and is the coolest thing on the road.
I ride my bike and he motors along side wearing his helmet and knee pads.
It goes fast, but not too fast, and is incredibly sturdy and easy for him to steer.
He parks it in his spot in the garage when done and hooks it up himself to recharge. Batteries last a long time so it's not always necessary.
My son gets looks and comments everywhere he goes, and he always has fun whether there is a spark bar attached or not. They don't wear out too quickly, and aren't too expensive to replace... so we bought some extras for him.
I know he'll be using this for years to come.
Excellent quality, excellent fun, excellent price and value for the money.
You will not be disappointed!
