With the release of this biography, I knew it was a must read, for Stan and his wonderful family have been friends for many years. What a fantastic read it was, taking the reader through his military service in two wars -as part of The Greatest Generation - up to and including his volunteer time entertaining in retirement communities. I had known he was a talented composer/musician but had absolutely no concept of his multi-faceted career in both television and movies. Stan offered his readers many glimpses into the lives of celebrities and into the workings of the corporate structures which built the industry.

I found it hard to put down and recommend it highly.

This is a very enjoyable read... I opened the book intending only to scan the first chapter but found I couldn't stop until I had finished it! Stan is clearly a very talented and interesting man, who is also honest and humble. Especially recommend it for anyone interested in the early days of television. I also found the section dealing with the war to be moving, as well as funny.

WOW! Having never met Stan, and seeing that the focus was in music, TV and Film (I am not well versed in) I never imagined it was going to be so riveting! What a perfect harmony of history, and honesty, and real world challenges...I sincerely could not put it down. It reads like a movie - all the stars, yet the humble friendships kept it so natural. A true treasure of broadcasting/music history from an "insiders" perspective. loved it.

Stan Zabka is to be congratulated for sharing his amazing story. Not only is it well written but it hits a core with all who have worked so hard to share their God given talents gifts. The joys magnified by the rejections gives one hope and confidence not to give up. Stan's gift flows with his music, giving an abundance of pleasure to so many. A heart warming book of a life well lived.

Zabka's story is interesting. The part of Chicago in which he grew up is now much like Fort Apache, the Bronx

His attempts to break into the "big-time" of the entertainment world are heartbreaking as they have been for millions of talented people who never got that big break, either.
Stan now entertains at local retirement homes. His music and commentary are nostalgic..The old folks love it.

Stan Zabka is one highly-talented man! His account of his long career in the music and entertainment industry, appropriately titled Razz Ma Tazz, provides the reader with an insight of how multi-talented he is and has been since a young age. My recollections of our days in the newsroom at AFN, the American Forces Network, in Germany during the Korean conflict, provide me with great satisfaction and pleasure about how far Stan has gone in the highest circles of the industry. Talent oozes from his every pore.

Here is a story of a creative man that spans 60+ years of a significant part of America's entertainment history, in war time and in peace-as seen from his unique perspective. Stan was a more than a participant-he influenced parts of it. He has written an engaging, personal story that was enjoyable to read and educational to me.
