The war against the impending Web has been won, but the war for Mainframe is far from over. In Guardian Bobs absence, Megabyte has successfully taken over the city while Dot, Enzo, Phong, AndrAIa and Mouse take refuge in the Principal Office. Enzos new Guardian protocol is Mainframes only hope. Unfortunately, as a young sprite he has a lot to learn and is left no choice but to ride the games into the Web. Enzo adopts the moniker of Matrix, searching the Web with AndrAIa to bring back Bob and save Mainframe from total system shutdown!
Originally released as two feature-length films (The Rise Of Daemon and My Two Bobs), Season Four chronicles the full Web takeover of Super Virus Daemon and raises the question of what to do with two Bobs. We discover the truth about the creation of Lost Angles, the origin of Megabyte and Hexadecimal and what Bob is really doing in Mainframe.

I was lucky enough to buy the original season 3 and 4 DVDs that were previously released but are no longer in production. I loved them but as some of you may know, there was an audio error with the season 4 DVDs that made the characters voices sound deeper than they were supposed to. For that reason, I decided to purchase the newly released DVDs in hopes that the problem would be fixed. Although the voices sound fine in these DVDs, the picture quality is unfortunately nothing compared to the originals. The original season 4 DVDs had near HD quality while the new releases looked rather fuzzy in comparison. It's for that reason I could not rate the product any higher than 3 stars. The picture isn't terrible by any means but I am disappointed that it simply doesn't look as good as I know it could.
After all is said and done, I would recommend these DVDs if you love ReBoot and don't yet own the series. However, I would say that if you're a stickler for picture quality, you might want to seek out the originals if you can still find them.

That said, it's still a really good series. There was nearly 10 years between the first season and the last. And it shows: The animation has improved, but the storyline has weakened. But with the final season, the story actually ends. No cliffhanger, no fudging. Just a good conclusion to all the storylines.
Because of that, you really should buy this (and season 1 & 2.) When I bought them, it was a lot cheaper to get the two box sets rather that the "Mainframe" edition. Not sure what extras you get with that, but there's nothing missing from this in terms of the tv series.
So buy this piece of history - the first all computer animated series. Best of all, it (all four seasons) had a good story to tell, unlike most of it's contemporaries. Or most modern kids tv for that matter.
