Cons - Just because there is not descriptive sex does not mean I would qualify this as sweet. It is definitely an adult novel as they talk about sex A LOT, it just doesn't give full descriptions of the actual act. Definitely PG-13 or higher level when I consider sweet to be PG level.
the characters were so likable and I loved that there wasn’t angst. We see them support one another and work through things not create unnecessary drama.
Kurt is the exact opposite of Leanna. He is focused and neat. Leanna is one that explores life and is a wee bit scatterbrained. She is still trying to find her passion. What I loved in this book was that Kurt didn’t condemn her but encourage her and understood her. He realized he was lucky to find his way and his passion early and be successful in that area. When Leanna was able to get some success in something she loved and she had big moments he made suggestions to help her but didn’t push them on her. He respected that she wanted to try her way first and than change if necessary.
These two were so good for one another. Leanna balanced Kurt and showed him that life is to live and not just be focused. He showed Leanna that it is okay to live but also to find what you are passionate about and work there. That work shouldn’t just be work but your passion. they in essence balanced the other out.
And the dog was adorable. We see both their views in this story and I think this helps complete it. We get both perspectives and views. We see how both change not only in their eyes but the others as well. We watch Kurt try to grip his feelings and enjoy life while still finding a balance between work and life.
The side characters are so fun and a hoot. Leanna’s friends are sweet and kind. All are supportive and loving. Kurt is just amazing. He is sweet, kind and caring but also understands and doesn’t push Leanna in any way.
The romance is sexy and flirty. I love how they truly do balance one another and the attraction seen between them come off the pages. They have great loyal families and friends to whom they are close and mean the world to them as well.
A sweet and fun romance about opposites who find their way to each other and fall in love while helping the other to gain a more balanced life and support from the other.
Look forward to seeing who will be next to fall in love in this series.
Content: innuendo, mild language and several sex scenes which fade to black
