There are a lot of steps involved to get a CAC or PIV card to work, all this reader will do is plug in and be recognized by the PC, after that you're on your own. Also this did not work on my Surface X Pro (ARM) processor.

Rubber under the device makes it a nice non slip an not move around on you when trying to insert your card.

This doesn’t work, tried it nothing is installing. Referenced website downloaded drivers from there and I got multiple errors. Would not recommend. Utilised Linux distributions such as Ubuntu, Debian, Arch, etc and it didn’t work. I even tried Windows and couldn’t get it to work. So I thought maybe it was maybe my computer but I tried dozens of other devices including friends computers/laptops, work computer, etc.
