About the Author
In 2000, Teach for America alumnus and Yale graduate Zeke Vanderhoek had a radical idea: students learn better from better teachers. His vision of what test prep could be if written and taught by great educators led him to start Manhattan Prep. Since we began, Manhattan Prep has grown from a boutique tutoring company to one of the world’s leading test prep providers, offering GMAT, GRE, LSAT, ACT, and SAT courses and tutoring worldwide.
We believe test prep should be real education. From our instructors to our materials, we work to teach you the skills you’ll need to succeed on the test, in school, and beyond.

Top Customer Reviews
Two minor advantages and one peccadillo:
1.) The paper is heavy and higher quality than other books. This means that the paper isn't difficult to write on or ripping.
2.) The book has well structured practice sets that teach you to read more actively and analytically, increasing your comprehension. I might suggest this to some of my undergrads who are struggling with reading prolix academic writing.
3.) I have found two errors already (pg. 45 and pg. 55-6), but these were obvious and did not hinder my learning.
Because I like this book so much, I will order the Manhattan Text Completion/Sentence Equivalency guide as well as the 5 lbs. book of practice problems.
